Great Night of Tapas and Fun! - Great night of tapas and drinks. It was so much fun learning all different types of tapas, history and drinks that are special to Madrid. Raul was such a fun guide and even had a special treat for us all at the end including a list of a few of his favorite places to eat. Would definitely recommend Raul and this tour to anyone who visits Madrid!

Madrid Tapas Crawl Is A Must Do! - Friends who had preceded us to Madrid a few weeks before us raved about Madrid Tapas Crawl so we booked a tour our first day in the city. The tour was FABULOUS! Our informative and engaging guide took us to several local bistros and cafes that we would never have found on our own and introduced us to an amazing array of authentic, delicious dishes and regional wines. We enjoyed a surprising Spanish tortilla, rich and flavorful sausages and cheese and much, much more!

Outstanding! - Our tour was outstanding. The food was incredible and portions made it dinner for us. Our guide was Alberto and he was fabulous and informative. I really felt like we experienced Madrid as the locals would.

Must Do Tapas Tour - My wife and I have been on food tours around Europe and the US, and this has to be one of the best we’ve done. The tour takes place in the neighborhood of Chamberi, several metro stops outside of the center, so we were assured of avoiding over-priced tourist traps. Plus Chamberi seems like a very modern, foodie area. We’ve been in Madrid for 3 weeks, so we’ve been served a lot of tapas around town. The tapas we got on this tours was either unique or just of higher quality than what we’ve typically gotten. For example, the lightly fried calamari we got on the tour was incredibly crisp and succulent. At another stop we got croquettes to die for — hot and crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and full of flavor. Amazing! We got a tapa that combined a pedron pepper with some chorizo - again, divine. We sampled beer, of course, wine, and a wonderful vermouth drink (spray of gin & some Compari ) which perfectly offset the fried pork-belly - the sweetness of the vermouth combined with the richness of the vermouth - WOW. But the best part of the whole experience was our guide, Ioanna. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and drink, explaining how it was prepared. She knew the establishments and could point out interesting decorations or other aspects of the places. She was attentive to individual needs (food/drinks), and solicitous of the 2 young children that were on the tour with their parents (who were very well-behaved). But more than all that, she made the whole thing FUN!! Her energy is incredible. We highly recommend this tour.

Amazing food tour - This food tour was one of the best I have taken. Fun and full of information on local tapas culture. Each stop was better than previous ones. It got better and better as the evening progressed. Good plentiful food and spirits. But what made this experience even more memorable was the host, Amara. Fun and easygoing, she made a group of strangers gel like old friends. Great tour to introduce visitors to local neighborhood away from touristy old town. Highly recommend.

Great tapas crawl - Great food and drink choices and venues, as well as, the area chosen in Madrid. Alberto is very experienced and knowledgeable food guide.

One to avoid. - We have undertaken food tours in a number of cities around the world and this was disappointing. It did not get off to a good start as the guide was 15 minutes late. The food and drink was ok but not generous, and all 4 stops were within a very short distance of each other so you did not get to see much of the district in which the tour took place. The guide (Amara) was pleasant but not very informative. We had tapas and several drinks the previous evening for less than half the price of this tour.

Never got there - We actually never got to go on the tour our flight was cancelled (twice) by Iberia. There was no way to get in touch with the tour guide. It wasn’t in my bookings. There was no contact info. I had my ticket and the barcode. Really disappointing
