In between stops at some of the city’s oldest tapas bars, you’ll embark on a journey through hundreds of years of history past legendary monuments, unassuming hidden corners, and everything in between. You’ll also gain firsthand knowledge of how to go out for tapas just like the locals do in Madrid!

Top tapas and humourous history ! - We were recommend a Devour tour by friends and we can see why they told us to book. The bars were fantastic, the history that was interspersed throughout the taverns was fascinating and the tapas were incredible. Arantxa, the host, was a complete delight. Her knowledge, humour, enthusiasm and story telling were incredible. We picked up many tips for the remainder of our visit and loved every minute of it. Thank you Arantxa !

This tour is a must! The... - This tour is a must! The food is delicious and the drinks are great! We had Flo as our guide and she did an amazing job of explaining the tapas, giving us history on the area, and giving recommendations! Worth every penny!

Rosita rocks! - This was an awesome tour and you should be so lucky to have Rosita as your tour guide. She is an art history major and has incredible enthusiasm for sharing her knowledge with others. I took this tour on my first evening in Madrid. It was an excellent way to get oriented to the city and it's history. I now have a much better understanding of how the Moors founded Madrid and when they were ousted. We also saw historical markers that you would never know about without such a tour. Plus the tapas! I already plan to return to two of the tapas places on my final night in Madrid to have those same tapas again.

Good food and companions - A great time was had by all. Arantxa was knowledgeable, friendly, and had the right amount of enthusiasm. She made is feel like we were a group of friends out for the evening. The food was delicious, and filling. I recommend this walk and Arantxa for an introduction to tapas and the history of Madrid. We have done tours in Lisbon and London and enjoyed both of them too. A great company.

So much fun with Dani - Dani is the best and a true host -- charming, funny, genuinely interested in getting to know the people he is guiding. All the stops we made were solid and worth noting for return visitors or if you have more time in Madrid. There's a wine or vermouth offered at each stop -- I highly recommend trying each even if you only take a sip! I believe the restaurants do offer vegetarian options, but maybe not vegan, but you might need to request this in advance.

Would recommend as long as the group is small - We generally really enjoy Devour tours. We probably would have enjoyed this tour more but there were too many people as extra people showed up. It just passed the tipping point in terms of a “small group”. We really liked the guide but would’ve enjoyed a little more structure and information in terms of the food and Madrid in general. I think it was hard for him because the group was larger than usual.
