- Taberna Flamenca El Cortijo - During the spring and summer, guests can begin their evening on the cool, shaded terrace, enjoying a refreshing beer or sangria while observing the lively surroundings. Dinner is served at 8:30 pm in the Tablao downstairs. A set menu is available, offering a variety of options to suit different preferences. All dishes are freshly prepared on-site using the finest ingredients sourced daily from the market. The menu always includes a starter and a main course, and dietary needs can be accommodated upon request. A drink of choice is included with the meal. The professional flamenco show begins around 9:00 pm, featuring two sets of approximately 40 minutes each, with a 10-minute intermission. The venue is designed to ensure an excellent view of the stage from all seats. The hostess will be pleased to answer any questions about this remarkable art form. (English and Spanish spoken).

Amazing Flamenco in a charming venue - I would highly recommend anyone visiting Madrid to partake in the Flamenco Show, Dinner and Workshop at Taberna Flamenca El Cortijo. Tired from a day of sightseeing, we declined to participate in the workshop part, so I cannot comment on it but I'm sure it would have been great based on everything else. The tickets included the show as well as an appetizer, entree, and a drink per person...so there was no extra or hidden charges at the end. We both started with the plate of Ibéricos (a delicious selection of local charcuterie). My husband had the Calamari and I had the Tortillia Española-- both were delicious. The real draw, though, is the show, which is by itself worth the full price of the ticket. We saw a group of 4 Flamenco performers (including two from Sevillia). All were supremely talented. The guitarist was epic, flawless really. The vocalist was an 18-year old (could not believe the pipes, control, and dexterity this kid had)! Both dancers were extremely talented not only musically but as storytellers... moving at times with the lightness of a butterfly and at other times-- the zapateado felt and sounded like a pack of 10 horses galloping. So exciting! There were two sets with a short break in between (#costumechange). This place is outside of the center of Madrid, but not by much. It was extremely fast, safe, and inexpensive to take an Uber to and from the venue from our hotel in the Center (The Westin Palace). Highly recommend!!!

Great experience - Excellent show, highly recommend the workshop. You learn the history and have a greater understanding of Flamenco. Food was just okay. Good Sangria.

Great experience! - The owner was warm
and friendly and took the time to explain the history and what would happen in the show. We had a front row seat. The place was clean and quaint. We enjoyed the show.

Lovely dancers - Great show but check distance from your hotel. Friendly staff. Good food for price and free drink included too. Neighborhood a bit scary..

Wonderful - Had a wonderful time. Thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The dancers were brilliant. The singer's voice was amazing and the guitarist was a pleasure to hear. Regarding the food, there aren't much options for vegetarians. Spanish omelette was good.
Would suggest this people who visit Madrid.

Art of the Danc - Great way to experience Flamenco. Melody was awesome explaining the art behind the dance. Without the workshop before the show, we would have been totally lost and likely left early. Highly recommend. Close to METRO.

Amazing flamenco experience of a lifetime - This was such an amazing experience. It was intimate and beautifully done. Highly recommend. The dancers came up to the tables and greeted us and were very friendly. The food was great and was of perfect proportion.

Surprisingly fun - Went with a friend and upon arrival we had our doubts. Is it really here?
But it was really here. They were still busy with preparations when we arrived, which was a bit awkward. But once we started it turned out fine. First the workshop with an explanation about the history of the Flamingo. Also tried a few parts of the dance itself. Quite difficult. Then the show with snacks, the starter was not the soup but a choice of jamon/queso and ensalada. We were allowed to choose from the menu as a main course. We are not big eaters so these 2 tapas per person were enough for us. If it is not enough, you can order more for a fee.
There were 3 ladies dancing, a guitarist and a singer. We enjoyed the energy!

Waste of vacation time in Madrid... - WE were there at the place at 7 45 Pm because the ticket indicated that the dinner-show was at 8 Pm.
There was no body at the white front door. We knocked the door several times and no body answered.
We felt like we were ripped off and a waste of our time .
