Our unforgettable morning trip with Into the Wild Madeira - We had an absolutely unforgettable sunrise tour with Jimmy from Into the Wild Madeira! 🌄 From the very first message, communication with Jimmy was smooth, friendly, and effortless. He responded quickly before booking, gave clear instructions, and was always warm and approachable. On the day of the trip, he arrived right on time at 6:00 AM, greeting us with a big smile and instantly making us feel we were in great hands. Jimmy tailored the entire experience perfectly to our family’s needs. We were traveling with three young daughters and my older mother, and every stop, walk, and break was chosen with care so that everyone could enjoy it comfortably. As a proud native Madeiran, Jimmy shared fascinating stories and insights throughout the morning, about the island’s nature, history, traditions, and even personal experiences that made the journey feel extra special. His knowledge and passion for Madeira were inspiring. We drove up to Pico do Arieiro just in time to secure the best spot for the sunrise above the clouds, thanks to Jimmy’s local guide privileges, we could skip the long line of solo travelers and head straight to the perfect viewpoint. Watching the sun rise over Madeira’s peaks was simply magical. Afterward, we enjoyed coffee, tea, and delicious local queijadas at a scenic campsite. On the way to our hike, Jimmy made a brief stop at a trout fish farm, a simple but lovely addition that gave us a glimpse of local life. The short hike itself was wonderful, leading us to a breathtaking panoramic viewpoint over Madeira’s peaks, truly spectacular and yet perfectly manageable for our group. We ended the tour at a charming local bar, sipping refreshing Madeiran cocktails while chatting more about his life on the island. Jimmy generously shared tips for the rest of our trip, which we truly appreciated. Finally, he dropped us off back at our accommodation, leaving us with smiles, great memories, and the feeling that we had just experienced something truly unique. Jimmy is not only an excellent guide, knowledgeable, caring, and highly professional, but also a wonderful person who clearly loves what he does. We could not recommend this experience more! Into the Wild, again. - Our second trip with Jimmy and once again a fabulous day with our family being guided to explore some of the highlights of Madeira It would be difficult to beat Jimmy as a guide, very friendly, knowledgeable and understanding English humour. Very highly recommended.
