REN is a brilliant guide - We had Ren as a guide for tour around Maastricht and he was a wealth of knowledge. Ren is engaging and passionate about his subject and loved imparting his knowledge to others. He took us to some extremely interesting places, small gens that only a local would have intimate knowledge of. He is a natural teacher and someone that weaves a good story. Without doubt one of the best tour guides we have encountered.

Ancient, historic city but full of young people - Maastricht is certainly a fascinating town, steeped in history that should be visited and above all enjoyed while walking through its numerous internal streets. It is also very nice to visit it by bicycle by renting the many bikes that can be found in many parts of the city. Certainly the river is the center of city life with its historic bridge that connects the city area to the historic center. It is a young city, it is a university city, full of young people. Located on the border with Belgium and not far from Germany, it can be the base for several visits to other cities.

Mandatory program - Visited for the first time... GREAT in every respect, what a contrast to Aachen in Germany. Great cityscape, lots of small shops and attractive cafes and restaurants, crowd like in Germany 40 years ago - nice and peaceful; friendly people

Maastricht is a not so hidden gem; go there - René gave us a most thorough tour. I especially enjoyed all of the water features and old defensive walls. Such a rich history! And now old buildings are being lovingly repurposed. A fascinating story of preservation and advancement. Maastricht has become a university town.
