Terrscraft Pottery Workshop = Terrific - Mum and I booked the terracraft pottery workshop to get a sense of the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into make Moroccan pottery. We were absolutely delighted with our morning at the pottery. From being collected near our Riad to the tour of the pottery, use of the wheel and painting,it was a truly special experience. Mohammed the potter and his team were enthusiastic, patient and kind as we learnt to use the wheel. Hanyn the guide talked us through every step acting as a translator and guide for the experience. His knowledge, passion and insight were fantastic addition to the workshop. Would strongly recommend to those wanting to try something outside the medina and experience a new skill. Loved it!!

Perfect👍🏻 - This activity was great, I felt like I was coming home to the family thanks to our potter. We could observe him making pots, cups, bowls yes it was our turn. We did a lot of things and they came to help us whenever we couldn’t. And finally we painted pots as we wanted. We were even treated to gifts: tagines created by him! Thanks again to this person for this knowledge and this beautiful experience!

A must-activity, especially for families with kids! - The location is just authentic and the activity itself is so good and worth the try! The pottery class is for both adults and children. Families with kids shouldn't miss the workshop!

The highlight of our Morocco trip! - This was seriously one of the highlights of our Morocco trip! We traveled with our young son (4 years old) and we searched for kid friendly experiences and had a hard time them. This was perfect! A short 35 min drive from Marrakech (a kind driver picked us up arranged by the pottery experience), and then you are welcomed by Sofiene and his family, 4th generation artisans. We made pottery, painted, and learned all about their craftsmanship. It was perfect for the whole family. Plus, when my son was hungry near the end, they brought out cookies. What a kind gesture. We will remember this visit forever! A perfect morning in Morocco.

A true glimpse behind the scenes - We had a great morning doing this. It wasn’t quite what we expected initially - but was actually all the better for it, so it’s good to know what to expect. This is not a sanitised, classroom based trip at all. You are literally going into a working pottery factory, and will get a glimpse behind the curtain of how the cups and products that are sold in the souks and around the world are made. It’s rough and ready, and all the more authentic because of it. The experienced older gentleman who is the potter was lovely - doesn’t speak English but so generous with his knowledge, and we enjoyed a traditional serving of tea whilst we painted (badly) our pots. A calming, grounding trip that we loved - more so than the polished classroom session we expected.
