A day in Luxor with an awesome Guide - A trip to Egypt without going to Luxor is like going on a picnic without a basket. I'm glad I chose to spend some time there visiting a few sights such as Queen Hatshepsut Temple and the valley of the Kings. my guide Mahmoud Gamal was awesome! he explained things in a way that was easy to understand. He even went above and beyond by finding some safety pins to hold the flap together on my suitcase after he noticed the zipper was broken.. it's personal things like that along with knowledgeable tours guides, prompt drivers and responsive Booking agents that I highly recommend "Egypt Tours Portal" for all of your sightseeing needs

Beautiful day! - Great day! Stay taken on Guet Your Guide 1 day it was great. It was very hot and on the bus we were given bottles of water, our guide Shadia was amazing! This is the first time a person has shared their knowledge and love of country on a excursion. My 15 year old listened carefully!! She bought us an ice cream and offered a bracelet to the whole team of the bus I find her really touching. Thanks to her because it is a tiring day because we wake up early but the discovery of the valley of kings was very well explained, we did not see time pass.

Superb trip - Our day in Luxor was an amazing experience, made all the better by our guide, King Mimo of Luxor. He was a supremely knowledgeable guide and made the whole day enjoyable. Having been to Cairo 5 days before which felt like the whole day was designed to extract as much money from you as possible, this trip was totally different and we learned about and saw so much of the history of Egypt with a guide that was clearly doing it for the love of the job. Would highly recommend

Incredible tour just do it! - An incredible trip that was planned very well! I opted for a smaller bus and tour and was well worth it as there were 6 in our group. Our guide Ahmed was knowledgeable and passionate given deep details into each of the sites. He answered all my questions and immediately immersed us into Egypt history we will never forget. Highly recommended tour!

Wonderful hike - Wonderful excursion, so many hours that you are exhausted when you return, but it was worth it, I would definitely do it again, the only flaw the guide knew little our language and there was very little spike

Get to see most of what you want, but maybe under stressfull conditions. - Due to the fact that there is a lot of transportation during this day and also many different places of interests, it is a very stressful day. And long day at that. Our group missed out on luxor market because of time wasn't enough. The added troat trip on the Nile to banana island was not worth the effort our time. It felt like just another place to grab more of our money. We also only ended up having 1 hour in the main goal - valley of the kings. And it was way too short. We only managed to run through 4 or 5 graves, which was way too stressful and you didn't have time to appreciate that at all. In general, the tour isn't that costly in itself, but you pay for entries (collosus doesnt cost anything to see, but they still say that the charge for entry to it) and you have to pay for everything extra everywhere, so it quickly runs away more money than you might have thought. But you get to see most of the stuff that you want and all the way from Hurghadaand the coast coties. But be prepared for a lot of traveling time and stress from the guide and other people that are involved in the tour. There are also of course, as everywhere else here a lot of people that try to scam you and ar after your money and can get pretty aggressive if you don't comply or give them anything or as much as they want to receive for their "services".

Nice lunch, terrible tour guide - The tour guide was terrible. He just showed the kitsch places in Karnak temple such as where Princess Diana took a photo etc. He barely explained anything and mostly did lame jokes about Elon Musk. We did not have enough time to take the photos whenever we stopped. We spent around 1 hour in Karnak Temple and even there we spent the most time him collecting money for a visit to Banana Island. The visit to island was optional but they leave you in such a situation that you either join them for this island visit or you wait in the bus for 1.5h. The lunch was the best part of the trip. It was clean and delicious. Servers were kind and the restaurant had a great view. We spent barely 10 minutes at Colossi of Memnon and a little more than 20 minutes in Hatshepsut Temple. The tour guide did not even join us to explain things in Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple or Valley of the Kings. We spent 50 minutes in a gift shop where they did a hideous show. Watching the show was a real cringe. The tour was with a bus consisting 30 people. People from all the other tours companies do this tour jointly so I would not recommend any tour with other companies either. Although eligible for the Arab discount for entrance tickets to the sites, my fiancée was required to pay the full fare for the tour agency, resulting in a substantial overpayment. If you're just taking these trips to go from Hurghada to Luxor, don't. All the temples and the mentioned places are accessible from Luxor. To be fair, the tour company offered us an option paying 10 euro more per person to join a smaller group. I don't know if it would be better and if it would be with a more competent tour guide.

Wrong itinerary and bad guide - First collection in a minibus with poor coordination (and without any info) when customers would be picked up, long wait outside the hotel, once gathered in the big bus for departure we were over an hour late - this on a Saturday with very sparse traffic. After just under an hour's drive, we stood at a parking lot completely still for 35 minutes, even without a hint of information. Extremely crowded bus, several seats at the front vacant but could not be used!? Nor working charging socket. About 2 hours before arrival Karnak suddenly got on the bus. Arrival Karnak 10:20 (instead of about 09:00). As mentioned in the headline, 60+90 min was promised on site in central Luxor which instead failed to materialize! Busy lunch and hastily called to the bus and then sit in the bus and wait 20 minutes. Despite the delay continued long visits to both hand power / fruit orchard and alabaster factory - while there was minimal time left for cultural attractions. Poor dialogue with the guests - several times many sat and waited in the bus between 10-25 min until the second / rest arrived. In addition, the guide unfortunately (through Funny Picnic) did not seem to take our feedback, directly during the trip, seriously. That there were then additional fees all the time it was quite clear already during the booking, so you can not complain about it. At the beginning of the journey home the guide got off again and after that most of the information was missing again. Probably one of the worse day trips I've done in a very long time - however, the destination can be highly recommended!

Unprofessional planning and overall expensive - Be careful: Seems cheap, but the final cost is high! Instead of a German tour we had one where English and German were mixed (!). On the same bus: A Russian group, their guide has been constantly talking in between. The mess was annoying. Nile cruise: Not worth the money, just for a second. Orchard was poorly planned as lunch right after that - so I hardly had any appetite... The guide was supposedly an “Egyptologist”, which is not credible as he barely explained and roamed everywhere only quickly. Valley of Kings declared zero. Without context, it was a questionable visit. On Luxor: Annoying people everywhere who want to talk you up. Every dirty toilet is charged something, without “Bakshish” there is not much going on. Although admission is payable everywhere, the facilities are often worn out. What happens to all the money? I advise against this tour! ...by the way: Bottled water is not included, other providers have!
