Land of The Kings - The tour started early in the morning, and our knowledgeable guide provided us with fascinating insights about the sites we were about to visit. The air-conditioned ride from Hurghada was comfortable, and along the way, we were treated to breathtaking views of the Egyptian countryside. Upon arriving in Luxor, we were transported back in time as we set foot in the Valley of the Kings. The grandeur of the ancient tombs was overwhelming, and learning about the pharaohs and their burial rituals was both enlightening and humbling. The intricate carvings and colorful hieroglyphics preserved over thousands of years were nothing short of mesmerizing. such an amazing day i truly recommend this tour

Not as advertised, very disappointing trip, ruined a bucket list item - This trip was memorable but mostly for the wrong reasons. If you go on this trip you will barely get a smile off of any of the staff, you will get minimal time at each of the sites, you will NOT be able to see King Tut's tomb as there will not be enough time. Instead they will rush you around, barely pass on any archaeological information and take you to places not on the itinerary, such as an alabaster factory and an animal prison masquerading as a zoo. The best part of the trip was the Temple of Hapshetsut which we went to first, there was a suitable amount of time to walk around (although not the 1.5hrs advertised) and the guide Mando also gave us some information about the site. Next up was an unplanned trip to a factory that was not mentioned anywhere in the description and not something personally that I was interested in. Several of us just stayed on the coach as it was just going to be another attempt to sell things we weren't interested in. We then went to the Valley of the Kings where I had assumed we would be able to see whatever we wanted, bearing in mind the online details stated a 2hr visit. What it turned out to be was three pre-chosen temples and we had 10minutes in each. We were told there was no time for King Tuts tomb and that these were the best three tombs. By 'best' the guide meant that they were the closest to the entrance and he could get us back on the coach quickly afterwards. The hangers on, there were 2 or 3 guys whose only job seemed to be counting money on the coach and then mucking about with the entrance tickets for the different sites. Essentially you pay for an entrance ticket which allows you to see three tombs. At each tomb, there is someone with a hole punch who stamps your ticket. When you have three hole punches, you're done. But the guys from the coach handed out tickets to everyone, we went through the turnstile's, and then they asked for them all back again and seemed to just shuffle them and hand them straight back out again. I didn't understand until afterwards that the tickets were valid for a month and they were trying to re-use tickets. I was given one back that already had a hole punched in it, as were at least two others in the group. This meant we were refused entry to the last tomb and the guide had to have a word to get us in. One member of our party managed to get in to see the King Tut tomb by paying the tour guide Mando and he got her in. So the whole 'we don't have enough time' argument was absolute rubbish (I'm trying not to swear here!). So many of the group were disappointed about missing out on the most famous tomb in Egypt but the guide and the other staff don't really care. They are not there to give you the best experience, they just want your money and then for you to sod off back to the hotel. Lunch was ok, although I was ill for the next two days so I can't be sure it was from that, or the fruit they gave us on the boat trip that was after the lunch. The boat trip was extra but it was worth it to go up the Nile and get a different viewpoint. Had they not blasted out pop music the whole journey it might have been more pleasant. At the half way point of the boat journey we stopped at a banana plantation/animal prison. I have no idea why this was deemed worthy of stopping at. There was a solitary alligator/crocodile in a tiny enclosure, who was poked with a stick to make it move. Two Ostriches in an equally small enclosure, some ducks in a small....you get the message. After the return boat trip, we then went to the Colossi of Memnon which really only requires a 10 minute trip, which is just as well because that's what we got. The final stop was the Temple of Karnak which we arrived at close to the sun setting. This was an impressive place but again, rush rush rush, no time for this, 6 minutes to have a look around and then meet back up. By this point, people just wanted time to actually see the site and so they didn't come back on time and the guide just took us to see one more thing and then said to get back on the coach. 2 hours we were supposed to be there. It must have been 45 minutes altogether and we did not have anywhere near sufficient time to walk around and see this site properly, just like all of the other archaeological sites on this trip. Again, I was not the only one shocked and annoyed at having to leave the site so soon. Maybe if we hadn't gone to the factory and the 'zoo', we might have been able to properly see the sites we had travelled so far to see. The only people who earned their money that day were the two drivers, everyone else, pretty useless. I am providing this review so others can understand the exact itinerary and see how little time you actually get to spend walking around these amazing sites. If you have no knowledge of Egyptian history, just want to get a few selfies at the sites, want to do some shopping, and like to see poorly treated animals, then this is the trip for you. Enjoy! If you want to learn more history and spend a decent amount of time soaking in the amazing historical sites, find another trip provider.
