The great amazing Michael! - Michael was brilliant. He made the trip special. He is very knowledgeable. He is also an Egyptologist. If you want a ride of your life please ask for Michael. We also made a mistake with the booking but Michael sorted it within half an hour by moving a booking a day earlier and arranging the driver.

In Luxor? Visit Hathor Temple - Highly recommend this one. My ride with my driver George was great. Comfortable and seamless. The desert road was magical. Then, when you get to Hathor, it gets really interesting. Well preserved ceiling frescos, inner corridors that go up and down, secret chambers. The temple space is truly an experience. Take your time there, which is what I was able to do. Remember to buy the extra tickes for the crypt and the rooftop for the complete run of the place. Thanks guys, for the tour.

The temple of Dendera is unique in Egypt due to the crypts and therefore a highlight of all temples - The Temple of Dendera is an ancient Egyptian temple complex in Upper Egypt and is considered the last fully preserved temple house in Egypt. The Temple of Dendera is located 55 km north of Luxor. It was built in the Greco-Roman period between 30 BC. Chr. and 14 AD It was built on the remains of an ancient temple. It is dedicated to the cow goddess Hathor. The main temple of the Hathor of Dendera measures 35 by 81 meters. Crypts In the outer walls of the temple house is a crypt system unique in Egyptian architecture. In the walls and under the floors in the back of the temple there are numerous crypts that served to store the temple treasures. Access is via small slab-covered entrances into the ground or walls. The crypts contained cult objects and cult images and extend down to the temple foundations. Important was the statue of the ba of the Hathor, which was brought from hiding to the temple roof during the Egyptian New Year. In some crypts mummy remains of sacred cows were found.
