Experience the enchanting Mullerthal, known as “Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland,” visit the medieval town of Vianden in northern Luxembourg, and explore Echternach, the country’s oldest city.
Participants should be in good physical health. It is recommended to wear sturdy hiking shoes for the walking tours, particularly on the Mullerthal trail and at the Schiessentümpel waterfall.
Tour highlights include the Mullerthal trail and Schiessentümpel, the charming medieval village of Vianden with its magnificent castle, and the historic town of Echternach, featuring the abbey and market square. Entry tickets to Vianden Castle are included, though a guide is not provided.
- Dogs are only partially allowed. They are allowed in the courtyard and in the cafeteria.
- Only foldable stroller allowed.
- If you want to make the most of your visit, please bring a packed lunch or a snack. This leaves you enough time to visit the center of the town and the Vianden Castle.

Great way to see countryside and highlights of Luxembourg . - Wonderful day out. Great driver . Excellent itinerary. Well planned timing . Excellent nature. Quite physically demanding - lots of walking, stairs, cobbles and short hike on potentially slippery path .
(seats are rather narrow for ‘large’ people. Fortunately there were only 8 of us. It could have been uncomfortable on full bus)

Well organised tour - We travelled as an overall (unrelated) group of eight so the bus was comfortable.
The onboard audio worked particularly well to augment basic information provided by the able and helpful driver
The weather was good so this helped us to enjoy a really nice day trip

Day trip discovery ideal - A great trip to discover more than the capital! Ideal for Short Trips like mine where you would like to discover everything without having time: 2 castle, a village, a waterfall with walk in the forest we really have an overview of the different riches of Luxembourg
The tours are autonomous, and a Guide is present to accompany us in the forest to the waterfall
I recommend 100% ☺️

Van-tastic Luxembourg - A full day of interesting stops and sampling of Luxembourg’s interesting history and culture. The vehicle is a 19 passenger Mercedes Sprinter van with GPS synched audio of sites. We only had three onboard, so very comfortable. The front two row views are partially obscured by advertising stenciling on the windows.

Luxembourg was worth it but unfortunate group - The tour guides showing different areas were excellent and the castles were beautiful. The sights are worth it! However, our group was a strange one. An incredibly narcissistic woman was loud, disruptive, and disrespectful which made it hard to hear the tour guides. She convinced the others in our group to get a cup of coffee at the end of the day (which was not part of the tour) and caused our bus driver to be late returning into town.

Castle tours - What we visited was fantastic! However I would give it a 3.5 for the following reasons:
1. IMO our driver was extremely aggressive. I realize she may drive this route frequently, however, she can’t account for other drivers. - 1 star
2. No local guide at our last stop. -.5 star

A mostly wonderful experience - Whilst the areas visited were beautiful, there are some feedback points we feel would benefit this particular activity long term.
Our bus driver did not communicate once with the bus from the time we stepped on until the time we stepped back off. Not even a hello.
By the first stop five people on the bus had motion sickness due to the bus being incredibly hot and a very heavy handed driving on both acceleration and brakes (stop start and not due to traffic). Some sick bags in the vehicle should be something to consider as there were no windows to open if someone did vomit.
The audio on our bus kept stopping and rebooting so there wasn’t much point in listening to it.
The driver did stop when we asked due to motion sickness. Our guides at the cascades and the abbey were exceptional and helped to make the day much nicer.
This trip is definitely worth taking and we think with a smoother driver this would have made our rating 70% better.
