Full day trip Ayutthaya Temples Tour from Bangkok with Grand Pearl River Cruise - This is probably the best way to visit the area, with a coach ride up to the ruins and then a relaxing cruise with lunch on the way back.
Our guide Donna, was very good, explaining the history of the area and making everyone just relax and enjoy. Plenty of free time to walk around the variouse ruins to take in everything without feeling Sheppard.

Donna made happy memories. - Donna was knowledgeable, friendly and caring. Ayutthaya was her home town - her stories of Thai Culture and Buddhism were inspiring. She looked after us very well. The cruise was relaxing and the buffet delicious. The commentary on the cruise ( by Donna ) was delicious. Will be a happy memory.

Really worth but avoid the return cruise - Napat, our guide was superlative, extremely prepared, clear and with a perfect English. Ayutthaya is amazing and worth to visit as well it was the king summer palace.
The only non optimal part of the tour was the lunch in the returning cruise to Bangkok.
It was relatively low quality and also not very tasty.
I would suggest to use the same tour operator but avoid the cruise option

Exceptionally executed - This was an extremely well organized and executed tour from beginning to end. Picked me up at my hotel on Soi 15 and made two more stops to pick up some other people and then on to the central meeting place where we boarded a very comfortable and well air conditioned coach. A very good and entertaining tour guide. A tour of each site with time to explore on your own. The tour guide was even kind enough to make suggestions for the best photo spots which was very much appreciated. The cruise back to Bangkok was surprisingly good. The buffet was excellent and as a picky eater there was much for me to enjoy and it was very good. About an hour before we docked they served coffee and some delicious small cookies. After we reached the pier, the same driver took the same group back to their respective hotels. I felt they have this tour down to a fine science.

Wonderful tour for a great price. - This trip was truly a great experience. From the time I was picked up from hotel and then dropped off at the end of the day myself and the other tour members had a really enjoyable time. The van that picked us up and the bus were very comfortable.
We got to see a lot and our tour guide Donna was great. She is very friendly, funny and knowledgable. At each stop Donna took pictures for all the guests and gave everyone a detailed history of the area we were visiting and Thai culture. She also made sure we had time to spend doing our own thing at each stop. It was really nice because often you don’t have enough time or you have way too much time to spend at the stops in tours. The comfortable schedule for the stops on this tour is just right.
The cruise back to Bangkok was great. It was very relaxing and offered a great new perspective and view from the river. The food was good and there was a great selection.
It is forbidden to wear shorts that do not cover your knees in temples in Thailand so almost everyone was wearing long pants.
As it turns out there is only 1 temple you can actually go into on this tour. If you don’t mind missing out on seeing the inside of this particular temple there is far more to see in the grounds outside the temple.
I have been on several tours while vacationing in Thailand that were great. This was the by far the best value for the money and I highly recommend it.

Ayutthaya, the ancient... - Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam, is well worth a visit, especially if you’ve seen the Bangkok temples in all their grandeur and sparkling beauty. The trip back us on a river boat; you get a delicious meal (included in the price) and can enjoy the views of the city.

Old Siam capital - We had a pick up at the hotel and transferred to a coach. The coach journey was comfortable in air conditioning coach however the guide could not be heard at the back of the bus so it was a bit disappointing.
On arrival we toured 3 sites and talks throughout. A few relics were being renovated again a little disappointed . There were some markets that seemed good value. The return journey was by bus to the outskirts of Bangkok then transfer to a boat. The boat was shabby but the buffet meal was really good. Again the tour guide discussed what could be seen from the boat but outside on the deck you could not hear a thing

Day Trip from Bangkok - Well organized with early morning hotel pick up and return at about 3:30 pm. Return by boat was pleasant with an excellent lunch aboard. Would have liked more history of the area in the guides presentations.

Avoid this one at all cost - Failed to pick us up from hotel as promised and I had to message many times to find out what was going on. Eventually I had to take a taxi to meet a coach full of others who had been collected. At one point someone from the company called me and asked to speak to the taxi driver. They had a long conversation on speaker phone ..in Thai..then staff member hung up without saying what was going on or speaking to me again. On my phone !! Very very bad manners. Just Rude. The day went off ok but on the cruise home , I stood up from lunch to find that my trousers were soaking wet from the hem to mid calf and the floor was flooded. Staff just shrugged and said burst pipe. My rucksack was also on the floor and it and its contents were soaking wet. Total failure of a day.
