Mario is a star! - Marika and Mario were wonderful guides and we thoroughly enjoyed being shown around Lucca by them both. It was a unique and memorable way to see the key sights of the town and tour the walls.

Take This Tour! - We had an absolutely delightful time with Marika and her horse Luigi. Marika’s tour was so informative. We learned so much about the history of Lucca, the architecture, and the ancient city church-citizen politics. We got to see the city from on the ground and then from up on the wall. It was a wonderful relaxing fun way to see Lucca. I wish all the visitors could have this great experience. Thank you, Marika! You are terrific!

A lovely way to spend time - This is the 2nd time we have done this tour and this occasion was as good as the first! It is a perfect way to spend some time when in Lucca. Last time we had Luigi pulling the carriage and this time it was Mario. The horses are extremely well cared for and in excellent condition. The tour itself is so relaxing but also so informative - a perfectly lovely way to spend time. We love the fact that the horses know which shop owners will give them their treats.

Perfect Lucca Carriage Ride - This was the best tour of our 30 days in Europe. Marissa was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Mario, her horse, was well behaved. We loved seeing Mario receive his treats from a few bakeries along the route.

Maria gave us a great... - Maria gave us a great short history of Lucca. We discovered places we hadn’t on foot ! Mario the horse is just beautiful. It was a most memorable tour. Thank you Maria. .

An absolute must - If you are going to Lucca--even if you have been there before--you should take this tour. It's a perfect way to see the city, above and below. Marika is a great guide, and gave us great info for points of interest in the city--including some things we wouldn't have found otherwise, like Roman ruins under one of the churches. It was especially great for my 3 year old, who was over the moon sitting in front with Marika. I normally avoid carriage rides in big cities, but you can tell the horses are well loved (and spoiled rotten by the local businesses 😉 ). I can't recommend this tour enough.

Great way to see Lucca! - This is a wonderful tour with Monica and her horse Luigi or “Gigi” to his friends. Monica knows the history of Lucca and its main landmarks and will tell you about things to do in Lucca. She also has a very nice sense of humour. The carriage is comfortable and the overall experience is fun and relaxing, especially if walking is not your thing. For us, it was a 10 out of 10!

One of the best tours in Italy!!! A perfect day trip from Florence! - We absolutely LOVED this tour!! Honestly, this was the best way to experience the charming city of Lucca and will be a memory for life. Marika is so warm and friendly, plus very knowledgeable about the city and its history. Her horse is also a local celebrity! We saw so much more on this tour than we ever could have on our own - we took a 1.5 hr train into Lucca, had lunch (shoutout to Da Rosolo's wild boar ragu), went on this tour, and saw EVERYTHING! It was completely relaxed, easy, and very fun. Marika is also very accommodating and was willing to offer the tour at a different time because of our tight schedule and the intense heat being a problem for the horses at the usual time. If you are even considering this tour, do not hesitate and just book it! It's absolutely worth it. 10/10

Outstanding and unique tour of Lucca - This is such a unique experience, we loved riding with Mario in the lead and Marika giving us information about Lucca. She was very accommodating when we were running behind from our tour in Pisa in the morning. She was also really engaging with our boys (9 and 12) and they had a wonderful time learning about Lucca, giving Mario carrots and watching him interact with the town. We had tried to do this tour once before last year, but had to cancel due to the weather so I have been looking forward to it and it did not disappoint!

Best Tour in Lucca! - A wonderful tour of Lucca! This was one of our favorite tours our whole trip. Mario’s was filled with wonderful stories of the history of Lucca. She is warm and engaging. The tour was so relaxing and enjoyable. Best tour in Lucca!
