• Lucca - The tour kicks off at the Railway station’s main entrance, and just a short distance away, the rental shop awaits where bikes are ready for an exciting exploration of this charming, bike-friendly town. The abundance of green spaces and bike paths offers a unique perspective of Lucca.
• Le mura di Lucca - The journey continues atop and around the town walls, providing a breathtaking view of the city center and the picturesque countryside. The guide will share insights into the history and construction of the fortifications over the centuries, and offer the opportunity to discover secret passages and hidden spots not easily found alone.
• San Michele in Foro - The route takes us through the historic center, showcasing numerous noble palaces and ancient churches, including the remarkable Guinigi Tower. Cycling through less touristy neighborhoods offers an authentic glimpse into local life. It’s then time for the first culinary stop at a favorite shop to savor the city’s delightful delicacies, including pecorino cheese, local cold cuts, and the exquisite extra-virgin olive oil. Learn about traditional recipes and intriguing ingredients.
• Piazza Anfiteatro - After the tasting, the ride continues through various parts of the city center, exploring narrow alleys, secondary paths, and ancient churches until reaching the façade of the lowest one: San Frediano Basilica, near the captivating Amphitheatre Square. The exploration extends to the lesser-known but very local east side of town.
• Piazza Napoleone - Later, the tour returns to the walls, completing the visit by exploring the remaining unexplored sections. Descending again to the historical center, the journey passes through Piazza Grande, leading to the final sweet stop at Lucca’s oldest ice cream shop. Here, indulge in the finest gelato, a memorable treat (in colder months, gelato is replaced with cake and coffee). Finally, the tour concludes at the starting point, enriched by experiencing the city like a local.

• In colder months this tour takes place in the morning for better light and temperature conditions. Gelato will be replace with a cake and coffee and there can be changes to stops due to different winter time openings.
• This is mainly a biking tour, the best way to discover the whole city of Lucca especially the less known sights. Food and drink are included to give a relaxing break along the riding.
• In case of rain we can not cancel the tour but we can give you the option to have a walking tour with the same itinerary.
• Children are considered only if under 12 and they will have a children bike and a children menu
