The best immersive Italian experience! - Monica was an amazing hostess! She welcomed us as family, taught us so much about local cuisine and technique, and together with her husband Paulo, made us feel right at home. The food was the freshest, most authentic and delicious food we have had while vacationing in Italy. This experience has been a highlight of our trip and I can’t say enough about how delightful it was. We are looking forward to making our own fresh pasta when we get home. Highly recommend!

Great family activity - We had a great pasta and tiramisu making session with lovely Silvia in her beautiful home! My husband, my father in law, my two daughters (aged 7 and 9) and I really enjoyed our time with Silvia. We ate all that we made and it was delicious!!! I have to admit, I was a bit nervous when I booked this session, as my younger daughter is very picky with food and I was afraid she wouldn’t eat anything or that she would say/do something offensive. But my very picky daughter ATE everything and enjoyed the whole experience so much!! Silvia was so good with the kids and really made Lucca memorable for us all. We would highly recommend cooking with Silvia for families!

Evening to remember - The cooking was great, but the eating and talking with our host was amazing. We love the history and the personal experience. I feel like we experienced everyday culture in the time we had last night. It was a wonderful experience that we want to do everywhere we travel.

Best cooking class in Lucca! - We had so much fun making Fettucine and Tiramisu and learning Silvia's family recipe (Gnudi). Silvia's home is beautiful (and so is the town of Lucca, pure magic!) and she made the activity so fun for my wife and I and our 10 year old son. We highly recommend this experience if you are looking for a fun Italian cooking class with a kind and welcoming teacher like Silvia!

Cooking with Valentina & Valeria - We spent a wonderful evening with Valentina and Valeria, getting to know them and being taught how to make traditional pasta and tiramisu! The meal turned out beautiful and delicious😋!! It was an extremely personal experience in Valeria’s home, which is so pretty and charming!! This was a highlight of our trip to Italy and if we ever go back again, we will definitely book another cooking class with them!! Thank you, ladies, for everything….it was an absolute pleasure!!

FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING! YouTube "How to Make Pasta" Instead - FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING! With Silvia, you won't make pasta, so Youtube it and save yourself about $200. The ONLY reason I signed up for this class was because of the title, "Tiramisu and Pasta" class. My friend and I always wanted to learn how to make pasta so we splurged for this experience. If only it was entitled, "Italian cuisine" then we would have skipped it. We made "gnudi" (spinach balls WITHOUT pasta). which were good, but that's not what we signed up for. All members of this English-speaking class expected to make pasta. At the end of the course, we were confused - wait a minute. We never made pasta! It was an enjoyable experience but it's like signing up for an Italian lesson and getting Spanish instead - nice, but not what was advertised. I contacted the instructor who became belligerent after I gently tried to communicate perhaps she should change the title of the class since English-speakers excpet pasta, not spinach balls. She was rude, kept shouting over the phone at me, interrupting, insisting I speak italian only to cut me off with demanding she made pasta. In the end, I had to hang up. The company gave me 20% refund. I wanted one of the 2 tickets refunded (meet me in the middle) but they said since I stayed until the end, those were the terms. (Yeah, we stayed until the end cuz we were waiting to make pasta!). P.S. As a vegetarian, while everyone was eating ham and foccacia, I was offered bread. That's just lazy! Offer cheese at least. Anyway, if you want an Italian quisine course, this is enjoyable. But a pasta class it is not, and God forbid you provide any feedback to the instructor! Her demeanor inspired me to share what happened to hopefully help someone else have this type of experience while trying to enjoy vacation!
