Great way to explore Luang Prabang - book it! - We spent a week in Luang Prabang and did several tours but this one was definitely the best experience. Our tour guide Latda had a great energy and was full of stories about the food, the restaurants we stopped at, as well as cultural aspects of the country. She was also very engaging and flexible with the children. We would have never stopped at the places that she took us to. As the company scouts the restaurants beforehand and makes sure that they are clean and the food is traditional and delicious, we were very comfortable to try street food we might have missed otherwise. This was the last tour of our LP trip but the most memorable and delicious one. Book this tour with Latda if you are in Luang Prabang and enjoy traditional Lao food as the locals! Thank you Latda! A marvelous tour for those who want to explore the charm of Luang Prabang from the culinary perspective. - We are a big fan of A chef's tour. It is a wonderful tour for those who wants to hear stories of a city from the culinary perspective. We booked both the morning and night tours and got the same guide (Mr Somsak) for both tours hence forging friendship and memories. We got to see local eateries not mentioned on any websites and got to know their stories. We loved mingling with the locals as we observe the sights and sounds of the sleepy Luang Prabang. Our highlight for this tour was the yummy grilled fish by the riverside. Also, the large sugarcane drink opposite the monastery. We will definitely book this tour again when we visit Luang Prabang next.

Amazing Food Tour Experience in Laos – A Must-Do! - This food tour was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Laos! We tasted so many authentic local dishes that we would never have discovered on our own. From street snacks to traditional Laotian meals, every bite was a delicious adventure. What made the experience truly special was our incredible guide, Latda. She was not only friendly and welcoming but also extremely knowledgeable. She shared so much cultural and historical background about the food, ingredients, and traditions. Her passion for Laotian cuisine and culture was contagious, and it made the tour so much more meaningful. We walked away not only full and happy but also with a much deeper appreciation for Laos and its rich culinary heritage. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to go beyond just eating and really understand what they’re tasting. Thank you, Latda, for an unforgettable experience! Hope to see you later!!! Greetings Leonie and Daan♥️

Unparalleled foodie experience that changed my whole perspective on Laos - Going on A Chef's Tour foodie experience in Luang Prabang absolutely made our stay in the city. It's one thing tasting local food when you travel, but this was a whole other level. This was truly understanding the food scene and what goes into some of the exquisite dishes we got to taste. Our guide was not just knowledgeable, but a passionate cook himself. And that passion came through as he explained dish by dish who the vendors were, how long the foodie tradition had been going on as well as how best to eat each morsel we sampled. It's hard to convey in words how delicious and special this experience is. You really have to taste it for yourself. I have a couple of standouts, especially the riverweed which is absolutely unmissable, although I definitely would have missed it if I'd just been browsing the market on my own. And the fish course was out of this world. I had to stop myself from finishing the platter, knowing there was so much more to come! I also loved how we got stuck into the local cuisine culture by trying different types of food outlet. From market stalls to sunset restaurants along the river to a lively local pub that was a total vibe, I felt we got under the skin of Luang Prabang in a way that's otherwise hard to access. As a seasoned traveller, I can hand-on-heart say this is one of the best experiences I've ever had in South-East Asia.

Food, glorious (Lao) food! - This awesome culinary experience was definitely one of the highlights of my time in northern Laos. Our guide Nan was a lovely bloke and really knew his stuff, plus was just super nice to chat to! We had so much food, way more than expected. He took us to places by the river, the street markets and local restaurants. They felt like really genuine Lao places, helped us understand the local food culture and experiment delicious things I would not have tried solo, like the river weed! (It's so tasty.) Other highlights included the incredible sausages, and I also loved the fish lettuce self-made rolls. They're the best. Oh, and the super unique dessert to finish the night off!
