Cabo San Lucas - Chef Issi and his family will welcome you to their restaurant in downtown Cabo San Lucas. From there, they will guide you on a tour of various local spice and grocery markets within the downtown neighborhoods, where you’ll gather the ingredients needed for the day’s recipes. Chef Issi will enlighten you about the food culture, local lifestyle, and history.
After collecting the ingredients, you’ll head to the Chef’s home. Once aprons are on, you’ll begin creating different salsas and recipes from scratch to complete your Mexican feast.
Learn to make a Margarita (Cookin’ Cabo style) and savor it alongside the fruits of your labor.
Experience all of this in a warm Mexican family atmosphere.
All cooking classes can easily accommodate vegetarians, vegans, and those who are gluten-free.

This Mexican culinary workshop is completely engaging and is crafted for the purpose of imparting ‘hands-on’ learning of authentic household recipes that are beloved and often prepared for family gatherings and friends. This is an excellent selection for cruise ship passengers.

An unforgettable experience! - This was a highlight of our trip to Cabo. Carolina was a gracious host and an incredible cook. We made mole’ (one of the best I’ve ever had from her family’s recipe) and it was extraordinary. We also made salsa, guacamole, salsa bandera and corn tortillas and it was served with rice and veggies. We also learned to make a fresh margarita and had churros and a tequila tasting and learned about the process of tequila making. This was not just a class, it was an intimate, immersive experience that we’ll take back with us and make at home. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Lunch Perfection - What a wonderful afternoon. Shopping then cooking. Issi’s home was amazing. The kitchen set up for 10. Small group experience. So great. The food was amazing and such helpful tips and seriously Maragritas too. Highly recommend this to all. 5+ *

Class Canceled Last Minute But Taken Care Of - Our class was canceled last minute, no one knew, we were not told till we already walked all the way there and sat for 25 mins. No fault of the Cooking Class, yes fault of Viator. Jose Pimentel, chef helped us out, extremely professional and helpful. Even got us a taxi back to resort with a tour or anything we wanted to do. Very impressed. He also owns the pharmacy next door to class and a professional private chef. Thank you again for the quick refund and help. Will do the class in the future. Appreciate the kindness.

Really enjoyed going to... - Really enjoyed going to the market and seeing non-touristy side of things. Carolina explained things thoroughly and we had a lot of fun making our al pastor and carnitas. Live music was an unexpected plus too. Would recommend.

The cooking class was... - The cooking class was superb. Issi was a great chef and he walked us through each delicious recipe with ease. I looked forward to learning how to make birria and I am confident that I can replicate the recipe at home with the tips and knowledge he gave. Issi and his kitchen staff of ladies were amazing. Definitely recommend this excursion and cooking class.

We went to Carolina's class while on our vacation in Cabo. It was a highlight of our trip. We learned to make the most delicious Mexican food we've ever eaten! She took us to her market and bakery next door. Then we went to her brother's house to cook. It was beautifully set up with everything we could need. Very clean and organized! We learned how to make the best Margaritas, Chile rellenos, chicken enchiladas, tortillas, 2 different sauces and 2 different salsas. We had a small group and it was a fabulous time. Highly recommend! We will be back. Everyday they cook different foods! Thank you, Carolina!

Amazing experience - What a great experience. From visiting the local markets to cooking at the chefs home, we had such an incredible group of people that we met and had so much fun and the food was amazing!!! The tequila tasting afterwards was such a fun treat as well. Highly recommend!!

Best experience ever. - This was more than I even imagined. If you want to feel like you are spending the day with your family this is the experience for you. My son (20 y/o) and I had the best time ever. The entire experience was amazing. We felt like we were locals out shopping and then going to our aunt's house to cook up an authentic lunch. If you are a hands-on person, then you need to book this trip.

We will be including this experience every time we return to Cabo ! - This was a 5 star experience! Our group of three adults and one 9 yo enjoyed the entire day. We met at the beautiful Mercabo, with its beautiful kitchen, spices and tequila room. Chef Issy gave us an introduction and then we were on our way, in a comfy air-conditioned van, to visit a tortilla factory, fish store and market to pick up the food for our day- Surf and Turf Paella. Our group of 9 was small enough that the Chef took us to his beautiful house for our cooking lesson. Along the way, Chef Issy gave us a short history of the Cabo area, its people and food. The first thing we made was fresh margaritas. He then instructed each of us on how we would prepare and cook every aspect of our meal. It was delicious!!! And Fun. Will include this experience every time we visit Cabo. Since each day is a different menu, we will try the others. Chef Issy was great!
