The adventure starts at Cerritos Beach, where the Pacific Ocean meets a vast, open shoreline, with surfboards resting on the sand beneath the desert mountains of Baja California Sur. Before heading into the water, the instructor provides guidance on positioning, paddling, wave timing, and ocean awareness, tailored to the participant’s experience level and the day’s conditions.

Without the rush of a larger group, the lesson is more relaxed and adaptable. There’s ample time to catch waves repeatedly, refine techniques, and savor the rhythm of the Pacific as pelicans soar above the shore and waves continuously crash onto the beach.

Later, the pace eases during a beachside lunch, where the Baja ambiance becomes an integral part of the experience. With surfing, ocean vistas, and serene coastal scenery, the day feels more intimate, immersive, and connected to the Pacific side of Baja.

• Minimum age is 6 years old
• Guests receive exact meeting or pick-up instructions within 24 hours after booking through the Viator operator chat. If not received, please contact us at least 24 hours before your tour

• Surf lessons operate seasonally approximately from November 15 through March 15 based on seasonal swell conditions
• Includes approximately 2 hours of surf lesson plus transportation and lunch timing
• Transportation from Cabo San Lucas area is approximately 1 hour
• This experience requires favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to unsafe weather, ocean conditions, or operational restrictions, guests will be offered an alternative date or full refund
• No locker facilities are available, but belongings may usually remain inside the transportation vehicle during the activity
• Not recommended for travelers with back problems, pregnancy, or serious heart conditions
• Participants under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed
• Medical refund requests require an official same-day doctor’s certificate and prior notification before activity start time
