SCAM! DO NOT GO HERE! - Paid for 2 hours. Got less than 90 mins. Terrible quesadilla at the end of the excursion and was covered in flies. You get one water bottle. And if you ever meet anyone named Chino, stay far away! He’s a scam artist and made me pay $300 after the excursion to get home. DO NOT GO HERE! Picture of Chino attached. Was told they sell fake insurance to get extra money from tourists. SCAMMING TOURISTS PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! Stick with cactus tours for any excursions. Company unwilling to help or do anything for us. Doesn’t seem like a coincidence since we were the only ppl who didn’t speak Spanish and were white.

Beware of This Scam – Rancho San Cristóbal - Beware of This Scam – Rancho San Cristóbal
We booked the combo ATV and Camel Ride package at Rancho San Cristóbal, but the experience was very disappointing and felt like a scam.
As soon as we arrived, they pushed a $35 insurance fee on us. They were extremely persistent, and just to get through check-in, we paid it.
Next, they told us that phones, cameras, GoPros, or any recording devices were strictly not allowed during the activities and had to be locked in a locker. Right after that, they offered us a photo package for about $90.
During the tour, I noticed other people taking pictures, so I took one quick photo myself. A tour guide immediately approached me, saying photos were not allowed and that if he saw me take another one, he would end my activity. Later I found out that guests who purchased the photo package were allowed to use their personal devices—something they never mentioned to us upfront.
I’ve done similar excursions in Cancun, Bahamas, Jamaica, Hawaii, and other parts of Mexico, and this is the first time I’ve experienced something like this.
Very disappointing and misleading. Be cautious if you’re considering Rancho San Cristóbal.
