Great experience with Paolo - I am a certified diver but not a lot of experience. Paolo was great at figuring out how much weight I needed and how much assistance I needed to pull things off safely’ I lost my husband temporarily and panicked and he was great at assisting us and helping me be strong for the next dive. I will always dive with an experienced diver. Being certified is really it enough Paolo was amazing. If not for him we wouldn’t have been able to do the second dive. They also had very good choices for locations. I can tell they were good at assessing what was the best for our experience:

The best time with the best employees! - Went diving today with Captain Jonathan and guide Angela. It was my 53rd dive and I’ve been with many dive shops in many countries. I was lucky that I was the only diver with Angela today, but I have to say her and Jonathan were THE BEST! Angela pointed out many things I would have never noticed. 2 fish about the same size and same species trying to eat each other, or kissing? 2 Octopus getting it on. A sea lion that swam by, multiple Murray eels. They took lots of care and made sure all my gear was ready to go. Highly recommend this shop and these 2. Can’t give enough stars! I never buy dive shop t-shirts, but I did this time. I’ll be diving more with them for sure.

Manta Scuba Dive Experience - Manta Scuba can be your trusted sources for diving in Cabo. My 17 year old son and I used them last year at this same time and didn’t hesitate to call when we were returning this year. The booking was as simple as contacting them by email and telling them what dates we wanted to dive. Although we brought most of our own equipment they have a great selection of well kept gear if you need. They have several dive boats and all are well maintained and have experienced captains. Our guide, Jesus, was professional and safety minded, but kept things fun and interesting. Dives were well explained and had solid planning based on currents and weather conditions. We did two days of two tank dives and although we had been to these sights the previous year we still had different experiences. The fish are plentiful and the underwater landscape is diverse. In the corridor multiple corals are abundant and there are quite varied species of marine life. If you’re lucky you’ll see Manta Rays, sharks, and octopus. I highly recommend Manta Scuba if you’re diving in Cabo San Lucas!

10/10 recommend Manta Scuba! - We had an incredible experience diving with Manta Scuba! Martin was a fantastic dive master guiding us along the way. Such incredibly vibrant marine life! Some highlights included seeing a seahorse, octopus and baby octopus, manta rays, a reef shark, eagle rays, and sea turtles. The staff at manta are all ultimate professionals, and we had the best time! All the dives were great, and we highly recommend going on a night dive too!

Amazing Divemasters, Terrifying Experience - Angela was our guide for both snorkeling at pelican rock and a two tank refresher scuba the following day. Angela was an amazing teacher as well as guide. I was open water certified two years ago and the way she explained things in the refresher I have to say I feel more confident with my knowledge in assembling the equipment than I ever felt previously. She did a really good job of noting when one of us wasn’t grasping a concept and making sure we got it. Underwater she showed us amazing marine life and was extremely attentive to any struggles we might be having/ skills we could improve on. I cannot say enough good things about her competence in the water and as a teacher and guide. HOWEVER I have some very mixed feelings about the dive experience overall. Our first dive was at pelican rock and while it was murky with some current it was a reasonable difficulty for a refresher and went perfectly smoothly. The second dive was at lands end and things got very bad very quickly under the surface. We were planning to fight some LIGHT current by crab walking along the bottom then do a drift dive. However as soon as we hit the bottom the currents became dangerously strong. We were all clinging to sand and getting dragged by current toward the drop off. At one point I was in the front of the group and got dragged so fast I had to cling to my husbands ankle at the back of the group to not get sucked out to sea away from the group. Both of my fins got SUCKED OFF OF MY FEET by current and the situation became very dicey very quick. Angela, our guide, literally saved my life. She tucked me under her arm and released the flag for the boat to pick us up as we ascended. However, at some point in this chaos my husband got separated from the group and had to emergency ascend by himself. Meanwhile we were getting battered by current on the ascent. I felt like i was running on a treadmill underwater at full speed while breathing through a hose. I am a runner and this was the most insane cardio i have ever felt. One hundred percent lost control of my breath. I went through 2400 out of 3000 PSI of oxygen in a 16 minute dive. We were dizzy and short of breath for hours after this. My throat is still raw and dry from screaming underwater and gulping oxygen like it was very very scary and I am very grateful for the competence of the team on board that day. I know the current conditions change very quickly and the dive master said she had not seen a current like that before but that kind of current at 60 feet of depth is in my opinion insane for anything less than extremely experienced divers. I don’t know if we just dove the site on a bad day and it really wasn’t possible to predict this but I do not think this site was appropriate or safe at all for a refresher dive. The team handled things amazingly and I have zero complaints there but I think those just getting back into diving or trying it for the first time should know the situation before going to this site.

Amazing dive day with Martin!! - I had an amazing dive experience with Manta! I was the only diver that day, so it was basically a private dive, wow! The dive master, Martin, and the captain, Jimmy, made me feel so safe and well cared for, I could just enjoy our dives and not worry about anything. I am open water certified with about 30 dives, including at least 10 in 2025, but do have a hard time with my ears at times, and Martin was very attentive to this. We saw so many amazing marine animals, including a white tipped reef shark, a moray eel that was bigger than the shark, a huge diamond ray, many guitar sharks, and my new favorite creature to see while diving - cormorants under the water! Overall, it was a great morning diving with them and I can't wait to come back!

Great Company to dive with - I try to scuba dive in every coastal city I visit. This trip is to Cabo San Lucas. Through Trip Advisor, I found MANTA. The booking process was easy. Not too hard to find the location. Quick check in. Merceds was the dive master. She got me all suited up and, along with 4 other divers, we walked 2 minutes to the marina where the small boat awaited our departure. The first dive was at Pelican Rock, only a 5 minute boat ride away. Even though it wasn’t far from shore, the sights were plentiful. We sawmore than 30 species of fish including several types of angels,, Morey eels, a school of Mobula sting rays, and hundreds of my favorite fish, porcupine puffers. We got back in the boat after 30 minutes and headed to our second dive location. On the way, we saw Mobulas flying out of the water. So amazing to see. The second dive was just as spectacular. More eels, puffers and a white tip reef shark taking a nap. Mercedes was an excellent guide and Jonathan, an excellent boat captain. I highly recommend MANTA for your scuba trips in Cabos San Lucas.

A great dive! - This is a great dive site. Despite all of the boat traffic around Pelican Rock and Land's End, the diving is still uncrowded. Angela is an awesome dive master who has chosen to work here. She has worked other dive shops around the world, but loves Cabo. And it shows in her work. She was excited to tell me about what we might see and what to look out for. She has a "pet" trigger fish that greets her on ever dive! We saw a school (herd?) of bull nosed rays, probably over 100, just gliding overhead, many eels, guitarfish, and a sea lion playing off Land's End! The boat captain, Flash, was very helpful with gear and kept us safe from the other boats while we were diving. Overall, I would give Angela and Flash six or seven starts, but I can't.

Magical experience! - I’ve been diving since the 90s and have logged around 50 dives, but I hadn’t been underwater in over 10 years — until I dove with Manta Diving. Angela and Flash were absolutely amazing! 🙌 Angela was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, helping me refresh important skills and sharing updated techniques and safety tips I needed. Thanks to her sharp eye, we saw some truly unforgettable marine life: a seahorse, a white-tipped reef shark, guitar rays galore, a moray eel, and the most incredible sight I’ve ever seen — a pair of mating octopus! 🐙💫 While I was diving, Flash took my boyfriend snorkeling, where they swam with huge schools of fish — an unforgettable experience for him too. Highly recommend Manta Diving for both new and experienced divers. Professional, fun, and truly passionate about the ocean. 🌊💙
