A Must Do - We stopped for a snack and coffees on the way and I could have stayed there all day lots of humming birds, parrots and even a squirrel payed a visit whilst we had our coffees, But the guide said it gets better & yes it did, the guide and driver pointed out all sorts of birds, plants etc on our journey - a cable ride over a ravine no idea how deep as total tree cover probably 100m +++, followed by a trek to a hidden waterfall , and on and on , a magical day with two great people (guide & driver) - Stopped for lunch at a local cafe, -Great food &company, tour of a chocolate factory, more humming birds, parrots, squirrel & so on-just a great day thanks to the guide and drivers alertness and knowledge - 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mindo with Pedro - We had a terrific day with Pedro! He has amazing reviews already and I was excited as soon as I knew we would be sharing the day with him. From our first stop and throughout the whole day we saw so many birds and for each one, I took a picture of the bird and then Pedro had the information identifying the bird up on his phone, which took I captured in the next picture. I have a terrific log of all the birds we saw. He even found toucans for us as we were walking around and driving. The stop at Mariposario Nathaly to see the butterflies was more than I expected. The owner gave us an up close, hands on tour of the butterflies from eggs, to larva, to pupa, and finally to a large area full of adult butterflies flying around. It was better than any other butterfly exhibit I had seen in zoos or gardens. We loved the hike to the water fall through the rainforest. So much diverse vegetation and the water fall was pretty. We did not swim, but someone was as we left. Lunch was a typical Ecuadorian lunch and very good. For dessert we had a tour of the Yumbos Chocolate factory and learned about the whole process of turning cocoa beans to chocolate bars. The tasting was top rate as was the chocolate! I even got a chocolate facial. The scenery on the drive to and from Mindo is amazing with the change from dry mountain climate to a cloud forest climate. We spent this time learning more and more about Ecuador and Pedro. Ecuador is such a beautiful country and Pedro is a wonderful guide and now a friend. We highly recommend this tour and Pedro!

Cloud Forest Adventure - Great trip with fabulous guides Carolina and Pedro! We had a wonderful day including tropical birds, butterflies and flowers, a chocolate education and tasting, and a zip line ride.

Mindo Cloud Forest & Hummingbird Tour - Breathtaking views, amazing interactions with hummingbirds at the San Tadeo Birding sanctuary, and georgeous butterflies up close on your hands, then a walk through the Mindo Cloud Forest! An amazing experience!

You must book this tour - I highly recommend this tour. It was a full day, started at 7am. The tour guides were punctual, welcoming and accommodating. The guides structured the day according to the activities I wanted to do and were very patient. We saw several hummingbirds during the tour but the toucans and butterflies were the highlight for me. The guide is very knowledgeable about different species of birds and knowledge of the area and environment. I was able to take my time during the activities and I did not feel rushed at all. I wanted chicken and rice for lunch, the guides took me to a nice place that specialises in rotisserie chicken which was tasty. I highly recommend this tour! Bring extra cash for the activities as they do not accept card in Mindo.

Memorable Mindo! - What an amazing day in Mindo! Pedro, our guide, was the best! He was super friendly, knowledgeable, kept us on track, and was able to get us around to all the sites we wanted to see while on a tight timeline! This tour is great because you can customize what you want to do/see based on cost, interest, time required, etc. We hiked the Reina waterfall in the Amazon, saw tons of hummingbirds and tanagers, got a chocolate tasting in downtown Mindo, and straddled the equator in Ciudad Mitad del Mundo! Some tips: 1. Bring cash for the activities (usually $5/person) & to tip your guide! 2. Bring snacks & lots of water; the tour can be a long day depending on what you are doing. We hiked the waterfall and I could have used more snacks/water 3. Be prepared for the weather - It is cooler than Quito 4. Have your passport if you go to the Middle of the World; tey required mine when I bought the tickets.

Great day in Mindo! - Our day trip to Mindo was great! Pedro our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and sites to see. We were able to tailor our trip to places we wanted to see the most and spend the desired time at each place we visited. On our trip we saw many different hummingbirds and butterflies, had an informative tour where they make Yumbos chocolate and took a hike and cable car to a scenic waterfall. Lunch was excellent as well. The day tour exceeded our expectations and we were very happy to book this one.

Great landscapes and wildlife - I enjoyed this tour very much. Pedro, my tourguide, was great. He told me a lot about the area and he is very knowledgeable. We stopped at 2 places, where I could see a lot of hummingbirds and other birds. Because of the private tour I was more flexible, so I chose the Zipplining instead of the hike to the waterfall. That was great. The landscape of the Mindo Cloudforest is amazing. After that we went to the Butterfly farm and after lunch I got to know more about the local chocolate production. I loved this tour. Mindo Cloud Forest Adventure - Miguel was an interesting, knowledgeable, funny guide. He was very accommodating to us. We highly recommend this private tour. It was so nice to be the only ones on the tour. The waterfall, the chocolate tour, the butterfly house and the hummingbirds were fantastic. A beautiful day in Mindo Cloud Forest. Santi was a great driver, expertly navigating the mountain roads.
