There is a photo opportunity around every turn as we climb to the Airport-in-the-Sky. At this stop, visit the Nature Center and peer down at one of Catalina’s original Native American gathering sites. The fee to the Catalina Island Conservancy directly supports the preservation of the animals, endangered species, and endemic plants on Catalina Island.

- You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to boarding to check in. We leave promptly at the scheduled time and cannot wait. When booking travel to the island please make sure to give enough time from arrival to island to get to tour departure location.
- We are located on Catalina Island, You must secure transportation to the island to take the tour. There are no refunds if you miss the tour.

In the Catalina Cabrillo Mole, building located where ferries dock. Across from Catalina Express offices & same building as day lockers. There is a Welcome To Catalina statue in front, walk about 50 feet past. If you go through Mole building & reach the parking lot you gone a little too far.

I haven’t been to... - I haven’t been to Catalina in about 15 years so this tour was great with Sergio the guide having so much knowledge of the island and it was my husbands first time at Catalina so he enjoyed the tour as well.

Great adventure - The ride is very bumpy( which is explained in the description), but fun and informative. Our navigator Sergio was wonderful and funny.

Awesome! Would highly recommend - Dave the guide and Arron the driver (sp?) were fantastic. We saw lots of bison and seeing the island and getting so much information was great. Would recommend.

Good time - I was dubious about this tour but the others in our group wanted to go...so we joined in for this 2 hr. interior tour. As it turned out, we were lucky with beautiful weather and timing to see some of the wildlife. We saw deer, many bison and a fox. Sal, our tour guide, was informative and cheerful. I can't imagine conducting this tour day in and day out, but he did a great job. I really enjoyed learning more about the history of the island. You will stop once for a brief 15 min. at the Airport in the Sky which was nice to stretch our legs. It is a bit of a bumpy ride up to the top of the island in the open air vehicle. Sal would ask our driver to stop the vehicle if there was an animal sighting. The views of the island from "up above" were beautiful. The "success" of this tour is totally dependent on the weather and I would think time of day. We took the 2:00pm tour which allowed for animals to be out and about a bit. On a cloudy day I don't think you'd benefit from this tour. I would think on a "cruise ship" day these tours would book up, so I'd recommend checking the cruise ship schedules. Be prepared with some cash as at the end you will be offered a strong opportunity to pay a gratuity.

Pretty fun - It was fun to ride back into the more rustic parts of Catalina but the ride was BUMPY.
Got to see some bison but nothing too close. Overall pretty fun but maybe a tad too long.

The roads are very rough,... - The roads are very rough, so anyone with a bad back should not go. The guides are both funny and knowledgeable

Not worth the money. - It is way overpriced and not worth the money. The guide, Sal, gave us lots of interesting information for the first half of the tour, but then only played music for the second half. The only bison that we encountered were way across on the other side of a valley, so far away that you could not tell that they were bison at all. We had to take the guide's word for it. We did not encounter any other wildlife. The ride was somewhat bumpy, but nothing horrible. But it was absolutely freezing cold up in the mountains.

It's a good tour for... - It's a good tour for history buffs, but overall, it's a so-so experience. We did another scenic tour in the morning, so the first part was a repeat for us. Seeing wildlife is almost none.

Ride from Hell - Wholly crap, hang on for your life! Not for the faint of heart, drives way too fast! Pay up your life insurance before the ride because you will need it sooner than later. Will not go again! Did not feel safe
