An Fantastic Educational Experience - This was an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Eloi Mark, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the areas of Los Angeles that he showed us. It was a lot of walking but well worth it because we were able to see the inside of buildings and areas that you wouldn't be able to see on a shuttle bus tour or a hop on/hop off bus. When he showed us a new building or area, he gave us historical context by showing us pictures from the past on his iPad that allowed us to appreciate the past and compare it to the present. He would then point out often missed details and how they fit in a historical context, which was absolutely fascinating, even for people like us who have lived in the Los Angeles area for decades. I recommend him highly with TWO thumbs up and as many stars as I can give him! (5 stars)

Mark is THE best! - We took the architectural tour with Mark. By far the best walking tour guide I’ve ever had! He was so informative and brought a whole new perspective to the origins of LA, why the buildings were built the way that they were, what was going on historically at the time that they were built. He took us to several hidden gems of the city that the average person would never see. Loved this tour SO much!!

A great tour of downtown Los Angeles! - My wife, my brother, and I went on the tour with Eloi (Mark) today. We had a very nice time, and I highly recommended the tour. Eloi is an interesting person with an interesting perspective. Lots of fascinating information about the history and architecture of downtown Los Angeles, and good insight into how the downtown area was developed and how it has changed over the decades. I recommend the tour to anyone who's visiting LA or who, like my wife and me, lives here.

We also greatly appreciated the extra time he took with us. He did not rush the tour. Mark(Eloi) is genuinely interested in communicating the socioeconomic and cultural history of downtown LA. We highly recommend his tour to everyone.

So much to see! - My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Elio, our guide, provided California history and background to complement the architecture and the stories within the walls. I recommend this one for both locals and tourists as there is much to learn and absorb.

New insights into DTLA - Elio/Mark provided a well-informed and interesting perspective on the history and culture(s) of DTLA, while introducing us to a diverse array of its architectural features--the Broadway movie palaces, LA's Central Library, and its more recently built skyscrapers. This was a well-designed and delightful tour, led by an excellent guide.
