Hawkeye over San Pedro - Showing up early and driving through the fog with the windows down over the bridges and seeing BB61 as the sun came through was a good way to start 2025! Great staff and self tour.

“U.S. Midway” - A must-see in San Diego is the historic aircraft carrier “U.S. midway”. Every corner of its structure contains so much history, it is impossible not to enjoy it. Young children enjoy the simulators they have inside the as well as visiting the area of all planes and helicopters.

Makes You Appreciate The Sacrifice Our Troops Go Through - Overall 9.4/10 Went around 4 o’clock. It takes about an hour and a half to two hours if you want to watch all the videos. We completed the tour in about an hour. There is a lot of walking and up and downstairs. But it is really cool and totally worth the experience. If you’re an Iowa resident, it is actually free for you to enter.

History of War - 9 of us took this 45-minute tour, and everyone liked it a lot. The Presidents tour focuses on the 3 Presidents that came aboard the USS Iowa during her operations, with emphasis on FDR. The captain's quarters and CEC (weapons control center) were the 2 biggest highlights of this tour, we all thought.

Good tour - I took my hubby here when we were on vacation as he's a fan of these things. From my perspective I liked the history. The staff are excellent and its very informative. We just did the self tour and that was fine for us, the one thing I will say is there is a lot of up and down ladder things and I am old and fat and could do it so its not bad but if you have any minor trouble getting around this will be hard I think even when they are pretty short. But overall, very informative and you even see things like the kitchen and get a sense of the job of just feeding all the sailors and you see their living quarters and such. If this is your thing its a worthwhile stop.
