Sorprendente - Sorprendente. The location, the importance of the fortress, the research and conservation effort... it was a quiet visit, without haste, with time to go to the different towers and the synagogue, enjoying the landscape and the environment.

A must visit - Finally visited Lorca Castle on a cool but sunny December morning, really pleased we did. Only explored the grounds (Various parts of the castle are open at different times) but mainly fully occupied by the views the castles position offers. Did use the cafe which was really nice, coffees mainly!

Beautifully preserved 15th century synagogue. - Main reason for visit was the 15th Century synagogue. Extremely interesting and worth the €4 entrance fee! Sympathetically preserved and excavation work still going on.

Good guides - Actually it is three visits, we liked the history of the castle but what we appreciate the most is the effort of the two guides who attended us, who tried a lot to explain everything well, and that was a very hot day, and there is distance within the enclosure from some visits to others .

Disappointment - Disappointing. Expensive and overrated... The visit to the gardens is free and then if you want to see one of the towers or synagogue 4 € and if you want to access all 10 €. They are normally closed, so you have to do them according to their schedule one at 11 o'clock and the last one at 1 o'clock. So if you enter at 10 you will have to spend half an hour waiting to see the first one since the garden does not give for more than half an hour. In addition there are certain areas .like the oven that is closed by collapse and the small algibe q only opens for exhibitions so you have to subtract them to the visit of the garden. To see the three areas you need according to its schedule 2 hours and a half but there are no activities or anything inside so you will have no choice but to do time in the bar q is also the souvenir shop, but the latter you will have to guess since the access door to the souvenir shop is closed since they have enabled it as a table area of the bar itself.... Anyway, I feel like seeing the Alfonsina tower so I've done half an hour of visiting and an hour in the waiting bar... Disappointing summary with capital letters!! Not to return and I don't know I would recommend it to anyone, not only for the price but for the content of the offer. Pd. At reception they told me that in the audio guide they tell you which areas you can not see because they are ruined (if they tell me before I hear it from my locality and I save the visit)

We couldn't see anything because they closed before the set time - We arrived at 17.00 and met two employees who told us they were "closing at 17.30" and IT WAS ALREADY CLOSED! The least you can ask is that employees keep to the schedule
