Won over this farm raised boomer 10/10 - Husband booked an outback station experience and whilst the shearing shed, sheepdog and sheep gig was typical of these farm visits the young 29 year old family member - Jeremy - had a terrific patter with a delightful mix of country yarn and science facts. His description of the half dozen pasture grasses native to the property could be submitted as a science report. His shearing facts and description of the activity of a working shearing shed was absolutely on point with a touch of world economics mixed in. The double decker open top bus tour was an eye opener for me as what seemed to be grass past its nutritional best still had benefits to their animals - merino sheep and a smallish herd of boer goats with camels and donkeys for tourist enjoyment. No rabbits!!

Both entertaining and informative. - Was a great day. Started with breakfast then bus ride to the station. The presentation in the shearing shed and station tour by the two brothers Jeremy and Lane was both entertaining and informative. Ended with Billy tea and sandwiches under the tree. Would absolutely recommend this tour.

Wonderful - Fabulous tour, as everyone has said. Jeremy was the best presenter I've seen in years. Knew his stuff and how to communicate with the audience. Dietary requirements were respected and met....which is saying something when you're a vegetarian on a sheep station.

Must do in Longreach - We had a great time at Nogo Station, Jass( I think that was his name) gave a great presentation about the family, history, sheep shearing, costs, products, everything about life on a sheep station. We saw great demonstrations with the dog rounding up the sheep and a demonstration of sheep shearing. The tour of the station in an open top bus was fantastic and finished with Billy tea and lunch around the camp fire. I would recommend this tour for sure.

Highly entertaining, informative and authentic - The initial pick up included a tour of Longreach where Duncan, our driver pointed out notable buildings and gave us a brief history of the town and surrounding area. He also talked about the early explorers and settlers and some of the many difficulties they experienced. We arrived at Nogo Station where Jeremy Kinnon greeted us and had one of the amazing working dogs round up a small flock of sheep and herd them into the shearing shed. This was followed up with a comprehensive run down about how a shearing team operate, how the fleece is classed and some of the many changes that have occurred during the station’s existence. This was without doubt one of the most interesting and authentic talks we have experienced. A tour of the property followed with more information provided about the livestock and how they are managed and the tour concluded with a bush packed lunch with Billy tea around the campfire. Fantastic experience.

Don’t miss out on this one. - If I could give it 10 stars I would. Really informative, Jeremy has a great sense of humour and really knows his stuff. Don’t miss out on this tour. Duncan the bus driver is the best host too, full of information on Longreach. Saw donkeys, camels and goats from the open top double decker bus.

a true outback experience - I can highly recommend the hotel Outback Pioneers “the stables”. Here you can have a real outback experience with a high level of comfort. The rooms are clean and well equipped, the furnishings in historical style. You should plan several days in Longreach and the surrounding area, as there is a lot to experience (the river cruise, the outback dinner show, the nogo station sheep farm, Cobb & Co Stagecoach experience and much more). When I was there even the great Australian cattle drive started from here and the Longreach Show took place at the Longreach Showgrounds. The Kinnon family was so nice to me that I never felt like I was traveling all alone. I found a great cowboy hat in the station store opposite as a memento of my eventful time in Longreach. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Even the very friendly airport transfer was included. Tina (italian tourist)

Informative - Very informative, the station owners and guide were very knowledgeable and communicated well. Fortunately they were shearing when we did the trip, if there was no shearing the experience would have been a bit light on.
