Don’t skip the tour! - Our yeoman warder tour guide was a pro—a talented stand-up comedian as well as a font of fascinating information. I did the Tower on my own a few months ago and did this tour my second time (for my husband’s first visit) and would suggest anyone sign up. It sets you up for time spent on our own on the Tower grounds after the tour.

Best Bargain Tour in London - We booked the Tower of London tour not really expecting such a wonderful experience. Not only were we thoroughly pleased with the history and majesty of the Tower, the Beefeaters tour is the gem of the tour. We wee very lucky to have as our guide Beefeater Extraordinaire Chris Skaife, who was informative, entertaining and captivating. We were also lucky enough to be there on a day with very few tourists, so access to all the towers and the Crown Jewels was easy peasy. If ever back in London: will gladly book this tour again.

I was impressed exceeded my expectations - I was actually impressed by the Tower of London! Founded in 1078, this historic fortress, palace, and former prison is full of history. The Crown Jewels are absolutely stunning (no photos allowed), but you can take pictures of the medieval galleries and grounds, which are wow, wow — elegant, impressive, and majestic. Like Buckingham Palace, it can get very crowded with lots of people back-to-back. Definitely allow at least two hours to fully enjoy the visit.

A beautiful visit - This is the first time we have visited the Tower of London. The exhibition with the poppies in tribute to the Second World War reinforced our desire to visit. You must book and plan at least 3 hours. There is plenty to do on this exceptional site. Nice visit.

"Royal Treasures and Tower Tales: Half a day at the Tower of London" - On 28 June, my son and I had a fantastic time visiting the Tower of London and seeing the Crown Jewels, made all the more special by our outstanding tour guide, Ariana. Her deep knowledge of the Tower’s rich and often dramatic history brought the site to life, and she guided us with patience, warmth, and a great sense of humor. Ariana’s ability to blend fascinating facts with witty storytelling kept us both engaged throughout the tour, and her friendly nature made the experience feel personal and welcoming. Thanks to her, our visit was not only educational but also thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable.

An amazing Yeoman Warder...and of course: The Tower! - I have visited the Tower at least 10 times (including a Ceremony of the Keys), but this was my friend's first ever visit. I hoped that it would be a good one, but...it was an absolutely great one! We were at the first Yeoman Warder's Tour on Monday, May 19th. As the crowd grew in the moat area where the tour begins now, it appeared that there were almost 175 people waiting for the tour! I seriously was ready to bail and wait for another (less crowded) time, but the Yeoman began by "weeding out the crowd" by mentioning the currently short lines at the Crown Jewels which caused about 50 people to leave. Still, that left a huge crowd... We stuck with it and it was awesome! His voice carried well, he captured the crowd with a blend of bluster and humor, and he kept up a brisk pace throughout the 45 minute tour. (I wish I had written his name down, but his photo appears in this review). Besides the rest of the Tower that we viewed (including the Crown Jewels and the Armory), the Yeoman Warder tour was the most memorable take away from that wonderful Monday morning in May!

The Tower - The Tower of London was an amazing place to visit, even on a hot summer day. It is, after all, a showcase of London's long history. We went and saw the White Tower, which honestly, doesn't look much like a tower, given its short, squat, appearance. The audioguide was one of the best I've ever used, though the headphones did have a tendency to fall off. Overall, a stunning experience, but make sure you bring something to stay cool.
