Climb to the Top! - The audio tour was great! It was easy to follow (I can't say the same for the one at Westminster Abbey). Because this is a church, I liked that they had mini devotionals in the audio. You could choose to listen to them or skip them, which was nice. We went early in the morning, so the crowds weren't too bad. And the view from the top is amazing.

It's spectacular here, and a must-see when visiting London. - St. Paul's Cathedral is a landmark building in London. If you visit London, you must visit this place. Its Baroque style is particularly eye-catching, and the murals on the ceiling are exquisitely detailed. Standing inside, you feel a sense of solemnity and tranquillity. I highly recommend climbing to the top of the dome, where you can enjoy a beautiful view and take in the entire London landscape. There is also a spiral staircase from Harry Potter, which is a pleasant surprise. The 90-minute guided tour is very informative, offering plenty of historical anecdotes. If you get tired, you can rest at the café, making for a very fulfilling day. When travelling by train in the UK, be sure to use Trainpal to book tickets. Entering ‘FB09’ when purchasing a UK Railcard can save you 20% on fees, and buying train tickets can save you 5% on the fare.

Better than the Abbey - Great without a tour guide. Not as crowded as Westminster Abbey and even more beautiful. Loved seeing where Diana got married.

One of London's best attractions! - St Paul's Cathedral is one of the iconic English churches and it serves as the seat of the bishop of London. It is also one of the most recognisable sights in the UK capital and it dominated the London skyline from the completion of its construction in 1710 until the 1960s. The current building, designed by the renowned architect Sir Christopher Wren, replaced the earlier Gothic cathedral, which was badly damaged by the Great Fire of 1666. Historians know that another cathedral existed on this site before the Norman conquest, but there is little reliable evidence from the earlier Anglo-Saxon and Roman periods. Christopher Wren's St Paul's is built in a Baroque style and it boasts several impressive features, including a stunning dome with amazing views, the Whispering Gallery, renowned for its unique acoustics, and the grand West Front. On your visit to the cathedral you will also notice some well-known artworks such as Holman Hunt's painting The Light of the World and Henry Moore's sculpture Mother and Child: Hood. St Paul's has been featured in many famous films, including Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, The Madness of King George, Mary Poppins, and Lawrence of Arabia. Many prominent individuals have been buried here, including Admiral Lord Nelson, victor in the Battle of Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington, who led the Allied armies to victory over Napoleon's forces at Waterloo, and Christopher Wren himself. Other prominent figures commemorated in the cathedral are the nurse Florence Nightingale, the painter J. M. W. Turner and the scientist Alexander Fleming who discovered penicillin. St Paul's is undoubtedly one of London's prime attractions, but it is also very expensive to visit. A single ticket will set you back £26 and while you do get access to a free audio guide and a range of free tours, the cost of entry still feels rather steep. You should note that you'll have to climb 257 steps to get to the Whispering Gallery and more than twice as many in total to get to the Golden Gallery at the top of the dome, so if you have mobility issues, you will probably struggle to explore these parts of the cathedral. That is not to say that it's not worth visiting this site, but if you have limited funds, you might want to consider exploring some of London's free attractions instead.

Upon arriving at St. Paul's Cathedral, it's really stunning. - St. Paul's Cathedral feels different up close. Some parts of the stone have weathered, but it actually makes it more alive – not just a postcard landmark. The acoustics inside are strange; when there aren't many people, even a whisper echoes. Climbing the dome is really amazing! When you're almost at the top, the spiral stairs get really narrow, and it's easy to accidentally bump elbows with other tourists nearby. But when you push through and get to the top, seeing the view of the Thames with the Shard peeking behind the old rooftops makes all that huffing and puffing totally worth it! If you need to travel by train in the UK, you must use TrainPal to buy train tickets. New users can enter "FB09" to get a 20% discount on a UK Railcard and a 5% discount on train tickets. Don't forget to use it.

St Paul's Cathedral: a perfect blend of history and heights - Climbing the dome of St Paul's Cathedral was one of the highlights of my trip to London: 528 steps? The panoramic views of the city from here, with the River Thames meandering below and skyscrapers peeking out from the historic roof, are totally worth the trip. Inside, the Whispering Gallery lives up to its name (try it - your voice really does travel!) ), and I couldn't take my eyes off the gold mosaics on all four walls. The Nelson and Wellington memorials in the crypt were also surprisingly moving. I spent two and a half hours here and it felt just right. We took the train into town using TrainPal, which gives new users a 5% off on tickets using the code RICH112, and a 20% off on railcard, which meant we had extra money for a pie at a nearby pub. Pro tip: Book your tickets online to avoid the queues. Even if you're not religious, the architecture and views are a must-see.

It’s alright but seen better - St Paul’s is quite mediocre in comparison to other cathedrals we’ve visited. Yes it has history and some elements of fine architecture but overall it wasn’t all that impressive. The price is on par with the others we’ve visited - £52 for two adults. We joined a guided tour which was informative however we were rushed (not by the guide may I add) through some sections as there was a wedding due to happen. This wasn’t mentioned on paying. It is felt that a consideration of not being able to see parts of the cathedral due to such events happening when charging people to come in. Overall it’s alright but wouldn’t return in a rush.

Don't bother expensive and drab. - £25 for access to a completely uninspiring building. It has a bland "protestant " interior. The view from the top is not worth the walk up as London looks hideous in every direction (Not Christopher Wren's fault clearly). The whispering gallery didn't work not for us anyway. I would recommend you not to bother as you will be overcharged for an overwhelmingly tedious experience.
