Guided Tour by Ross - Thoroughly absorbing experience, enhanced greatly by the Tour led by Ross. He was very friendly, informative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tech he used worked really well too. I restrained myself from asking lots of geeky questions as it was a small group and I would have quickly become annoying, but the questions I did ask were answered with aplomb by Ross. I would strongly recommend his tour. I wanted to review the tour specifically. There is an option on TA - audio tour - but was not sure it is best described as an audio tour - Ross was the tour guide not a recording.

Outstanding tour with Mary! - MARY was an outstanding presenter on the paid 3pm tour! She was passionate, interesting, knowledge, and kept us engaged the whole time. Best tour I've been on!

Paul Tour Guide. - Excellent Tour by Paul. Well worth the tour fee of £5pp. We allowed 2 hours but that was not enough, need another 2 hours + to see it all. Will have to return.

Where time begins and ends - What a great place. The historic connotation, the museum and the original great telescope, and of course the prime meridian - makes this place a very interesting destination. Coupled with the great view toward London it is a must visit site. P.S. for an extra 5 BP one can take the very interesting and informative tour.

View at the Observatory - My friend Laura and I were very happy with the visit. We would like to point out the courtesy, kindness and helpfulness of Francesco di Sassari who dedicated much of his time to us x elaborate the entrance ticket with the formula 2 for 1

Royal Observatory at Greenwich - worth the trip - We traveled by tour boat to Greenwich from London on a rare sunny November day. We were lucky to arrive just in time for the 1PM “red ball” drop from the top of the observatory and then an excellent tour led by one of the volunteers. We learned a semester’s worth about the discovery of how to measure longitude at sea, the establishment of the prime meridian and the brilliance of the 17th century scientists behind these discoveries. I highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history and science. Worth the trip.

After 77 years - After 77 years I have finally visited the iconic Greenwich Observatory. The walk up from Greenwich took about 20 minutes. The views spectacular. The buildings are compact. The model telescopes fascinating. Sadly the Camera Obsura was closed. The gift shop was well stocked. I had hoped there might be more hands on telescope or even a solar telescope that could be used most days.

Too expensive! - We were primarily interested in standing on the Prime Meridian, but had to pay £24 each to enter. The time-keeping information exhibits were interesting; but even with the free audioguide, it was well above our understanding and interest. I believe it should have been half the price for the value of the experience. I would not recommend my friends going to this venue.

Overpriced admission - My first visit to the observatory was in 2009. At that time one just walked up the hill and into the buildings. Things sure have changed. Now, just to get to the prime meridian to take a photo, one must pay, I don’t mind paying a fee because old buildings require maintenance, but I felt that £20 per person was excessive.

No grace. I was... - I went with an expectation, I stayed like this.... That's it. History. Objects. The most interesting things are the watches and the line of Greenwich (meridian), but it stays in it. It's worth saying I'm gone... but I'd never come back. Curious that it is expensive and still ask for donations. Lack of interaction.
