A Visit with Ben Franklin - This almost hidden gem, only minutes from Trafalgar Square, conveys the story of Franklin's extensive time in London prior to the Revolution. Meticulously preserved, well cared for, but intentionally without the non-original furnishings one sees in many historic homes, it is staffed by knowledgeable, friendly guides who manage to convey a sense of time and place - and the great man who lived here. This chapter of Ben's remarkable story is also revealed in the recent Ken Burns film; both seen together help us to understand the man and his 'world.'

Learned A Lot! - We’re from Philadelphia, and have been to the BF museum here, but we still learned things we never knew! Our middle schoolers weren’t overly fascinated, but my husband and I loved it!

Beautifully done audio visual - We booked in for the 12 noon tour. We were shown into a room downstairs to view a video showing how the house might have been furnished when Franklin lived there. Then a lady in costume appeared and announced herself as the daughter of Franklin’s landlady; she led us on a tour of the house telling us about Franklin; throughout there were sound effects and she interacted with other voices. The whole experience was enjoyable and very informative.

Interesting Tour - I really enjoyed my Historical Experience tour of the Benjamin Franklin House today - a lot of interesting information is imparted in the hour long tour and it is very well done, with visual effects, sound and live actors, as they take you from room to room. An excellent way to spend an hour if you are in the Charing Cross/Trafalgar Sq area. You do need to go round on one of the timed tours - which I hadn’t appreciated as I just turned up at opening time - but the staff were super helpful and friendly and they reserved me a spot on the first tour of the day. All in all, it was great. I barely knew who Benjamin Franklin was when I went in but left truly gobsmacked by his achievements and by his interest in such a wide variety of topics. I will definitely be going back for the Architectural tour as the house is a beautiful Georgian townhouse and, although very sparsely furnished, it is all the more beautiful for that in my opinion and I would like to know more about its history.

Interesting and innovative small museum on the great man - Very easy to get to, close to Charing Cross Railway/Tube station. Interesting short film in the beginning then a very good interactive way of showing his time in London and his inventions etc.

Founding Father - Interesting presentation about one of America's founding fathers. The historical actress was fantastic and always in character. Wish there was more information about Benjamin Franklin's life before and after his 16 years spent in London. I would also suggest more of a gift shop for visitors.

A pleasant surprise - I found the Benjamin Franklin House by accident while walking around looking for Parliament. :). American Colonial History is of great interest to me. (I live in one of the former 13 British Colonies. Franklin's son was the Colonial governor). I fortunately arrived not too long before the next tour. The staff was extremely courteous and asked me to return in a bit. After killing some time, I made my way back. I forget the cost but it was pretty reasonable. The actor who portrayed Franklin's landlady was wonderful. The tour took us through the house, starting in the basement. If you're a history buff, I recommend visiting the Benjamin Franklin House.

Benjamin Franklin House - It was worth seeing but nothing more, a small house where all the rooms look the same without much importance because they are empty, they should try to recreate a few moments of their life, it is cold in the house. In 30 minutes the surroundings are done. The visit was included in the London pass if that had not been the case we would not have done the visit.
