Great feed the Monkeys experience - My 20 year old daughter and I went to the zoo and did the Feed the Monkeys experience. It was very hot but a wonderful experience. Maisie, Ruth and Rhonda were very knowledgeable and lovely. We had a great time. THE MONKEYS WERE SUPER CUTE !!! (I wanted to put one on my pocket)

Amazing day out - Amazing zoo, all the animals are clearly well looked after and such a variety, we seen a 2 week old baby sloth!! We particularly liked the walkthrough animal parts, being in with the monkeys, the butterflies, bays and goats in the farmyard was fun and different, missed not having elephants as they’re my favourite but guess I’ll just have to visit Whipsnade aswell!

Trip to London zoo - Really good variety of animals from lions right down to ants. The park is well laid out and facilities are good. The restaurant is a bit pricey but food is good. There is a lot to see, easily a whole day. I would recommend this zoo for a good day out. It's also easy to get there from Victoria station , tube connections are very good.

A day of fun for all the family - The zoo is well kept and animals seemed to be well taken care of. I was impressed by the way one of the employees spoke about the animals as if they were her kids! Do proud of their achievements or mischief :-) The zoo is quite big. We spent over 4 hours. What I would suggest is to have more visible water stations for refills and maybe some of the toilets get modernised

Can’t wait to go a third time!!! - I’ve been to London Zoo twice: November 2024 for the day and June 2025 for the Zoo Night. Each time has been absolutely fantastic. Incredibly immersive with walk through features and super informative with loads to see. Really clean and well-presented. As a huge animal lover, it’s fantastic to see all the effort that goes into making the environments most suited to the animals. Do sometimes wish they were bigger but 1. Appreciate there is so much behind the scenes we don’t see so they likely have other areas and 2. The conservation work is great from the Zoo and shows a real passion to help animals. All staff encountered have been lovely. Friendly to talk to and so knowledgeable about the animals. Felt especially inclined to leave my highly positive review after seeing negative comments where people are disappointed they didn’t see some animals or there weren’t the animals they wanted to see. If you’re annoyed by the animals not being in constant display and sometimes sleeping or behind something, I’m not sure you really care for the animals. And secondly, there are so many animals after 2 trips I’ve not seen everything! There’s so much to see and lots of variety. I look forward to going back to London Zoo in the future.

Great Friday date night highly recommended - Have been before and loved it but the adults only late night on Friday was just the best. Not as busy as during the day and beer and cider available and lots of space to see the animals. It made such a difference we will defo be back

Preparation advised - - lots of possibilities to sit - kind of almost saw no animals - think about, what you really want to see before you go, because there is so much - shop is overpriced

London Zoo Nights (disappointing) - I’ve been to the zoo several times in the past but it seemed different this time. We booked for a Zoo Nights visit. It was very hot weather so I understand if some animals were safely inside. However, we saw very few animals. The staff were helpful and seemed enthusiastic but there just wasn’t much to see. I was more concerned how crowded it was. I really hate to criticise but I think they are seriously overselling tickets. We couldn’t find anywhere to sit when eating or having a drink later. They had music and plenty of choice for food but long queues. When we did find a seat to have an ice cream at the end we could only find space on a wall next to the bins.

Disappointing - We as a family of 9 were disappointed with our time at the zoo yesterday for a 6th birthday celebration. No tigers or lions in or outside. No pygmy hippos to be seen. No monkeys in the walk in enclosure. A member of staff literally shouted at my granddaughter in the butterfly enclosure when all she did was put her hand out like everyone else hoping one would land. Considering it cost nearly £400 for the day we will not be going back.

If This is Legal, the Law is Wrong! - I was shocked by how small many of the enclosures are at London Zoo. It was heartbreaking to see animals with such limited space to move — especially species like tigers and giraffes, who naturally roam vast distances in the wild. For context: the zoo itself is only 36 acres. Tigers in the wild typically roam 12,800 to 320,000 acres. Giraffes cover around 33 square miles — that’s over 21,000 acres. The enclosures I saw for both species combined were smaller than my childhood home, which sat on just 2.5 acres. That comparison has stayed with me. And that’s using just these two examples, ignoring all the other enclosures that also felt far too small. I also saw an okapi — the giraffe’s closest relative — pacing back and forth in a room smaller than my bedroom. Watching it confined like that was deeply upsetting. I’m sure the zoo meets the current standards — but just because a standard exists doesn’t mean it should be the one we stick to. It’s simply not good enough. I’m sure the keeps care for the animals, but the establishment clearly only cares about profit. The visit left me feeling incredibly unsettled and deeply upset. What surprised me most is how few people seem to be talking about this. It’s not just a minor issue — it’s central to the experience. Zoos have the potential to educate, protect, and inspire. But this felt like confinement, not conservation. I expected far better from such a prominent institution.
