Jack the Ripper walking tour - Amazing! - Richard's depth of knowledge is remarkable. He not only recounted the Jack the Ripper tale but also questioned the accounts and statements from the period and gave his own thoughts. You won't find a more informative guide. Absolutely brilliant!

Richard is so much fun... - Richard is so much fun and we had a blast! He gave us so much history around the Jack the Ripper case and it was engaging and fun—even with some heavy material to cover. We loved the small group and the headsets were genius. We didn’t miss a word of Richard’s talk because of that! Two hours went by so quickly—a good walk, a great story, clear passion and work has gone into this. Thanks for a wonderful time!

An Interesting Walk through history - This was a very informative tour and our guide Cova was a witty and very knowledgeable Ripperologist. The tour itself was a pleasant walk and it left us in the mood to do some more research on old Jack.

Loved the tour! - This was our favorite thing we did while in London. Richard provided headphones making it easy to hear him while he was explaining what took place in the various locations we stopped. He is very knowledgeable about the subject and we learned many things that we have never read about before. We never felt rushed and were given the opportunities to ask questions. He only takes a small group so I definitely recommend booking this tour.

Amazing Intelligent Tour - Highly Recommend! - I recently took a Jack the Ripper tour in London with my teenage daughter, guided by Richard, and it was fantastic. We stayed in Whitechapel for a week, so we decided to give it a try since this is right in the area, and it exceeded all our expectations! Especially for my daughter, as a teen, she is hard to convince. Richard brought the story to life with a deep dive into the socio-economic conditions of the East End during that era. He did more than just tell us about Jack the Ripper's sensational crimes (and those were covered fantastically well as well); he painted a very vivid picture of what Whitechapel looked like at the time, how the people lived, and the struggles they faced, all backed up by historical photos. Richard's approach was both intelligent and engaging, which made the tour not only informative but also incredibly immersive. His narrative style, subtle British humor and articulate speech made the information very easy to absorb and incredibly enjoyable. The earphones Richard provided were a great touch, ensuring we could hear everything perfectly. The group size was perfect. Instructions were very well provided about the meeting place and Richard kept in touch prior and after the tour sending some additional information and content. The tour was a highlight of our London trip, and Richard's storytelling was a big part of that. I'd definitely go back for another one of his tours, maybe even for this one again! So well done! Very professional and passionate. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in history delivered in a compelling intelligent way. Anna and Sasha

Jack the Ripper Tour - What a fun tour! As a history lover I really, really enjoyed learning about life in Whitechapel in the late 1800s, and learning about the Jack the Ripper story from the perspective of the poor souls who experienced it, rather than the cartoonish story we normally hear. Our tour guide Richard was a lot of fun and really knowledgeable. If you are looking for a regular old ghost tour I don't know if this is for you, but I consider this so much better.

Jack the Ripper with Richard - The tour was great...very interesting, and Richard shared lots of information. The group size was very conducive for sharing and asking questions. One suggestion: Break up the amount of time for information sharing. We stood in one spot for long periods of time.

enthusiastic guide; some details weren't for us - We were interested in a small group, but this group had more people than we expected based on the description. I did appreciate the tech (microphone and headphones) used so that we could hear the guide. It was a good setup. The actual experience/tour was not as interactive as we'd hoped, and we definitely felt like we were standing in the same place for a long time. I wished we had brought an option for sitting or that we had stopped in places with options for sitting. I understand people may be looking for different things on these types of tours, but I was confused about why we were hearing about other killers (e.g. a woman who would kill babies she adopted) and actors. I think this guide is excited and wants to do a good job, but is still figuring out the right balance of storytelling, interaction, and being sure that the tour is engaging to a variety of knowledge levels about the topic.
