- Triple Bridge (Tromostovje) - The central of the three bridges forming the Triple Bridge has stood in its place since 1842, when it replaced an old, strategically important medieval wooden bridge connecting the north-western European lands with south-eastern Europe and the Balkans.
- Cankarjevo Nabrezje - This beautiful riverside walkway is lined with cafes, bars and restaurants and offers outdoor seating for pedestrians. The street was once named after Emperor Franz I. In 1919, it was renamed after the writer Ivan Cankar.
- Old Square (Stari trg) - Old Square is the heart of Ljubljanski’s old city. Old Square features several medieval houses, Baroque palaces, cobblestone passageways, and 19th-century storefronts. Many buildings here survived the 1895 earthquake and kept their original appearance.
Historian Johann Weikhard von Valvasor was born in the house at Old Square number 4. Around the square one can find a variety of cafes, restaurants, and stores located in historic buildings. The location represents the oldest part of town, and visitors will feel what life was like in medieval Ljubljanski.
- Shoemaker’s Bridge (Cevljarski Most) - The name of the Shoemakers bridge has a funny story behind it. It started out as a wooden bridge with butchers’ booths on it, but the stench was so awful that the Emperor paid to have them removed to another place. The ones who took over the booths afterwards were shoemakers, giving the bridge its present name.
