Excellent value for money! - Upon arrival day we went to TIC where we bought the 3days LJU card for 49 Euro/pp. The friendly and knowledgeable young lady at TIC activated the card just before we took the incl. City walking tour/90min, which was in fact kind of private tour because we, as couple, were the only participants 😉 City tour was very interesting, excellent guide (Ana Maria?), plenty of information and also hints about restaurants, shops etc (would have costed 17 Euro/pp). The funicular ride (both ways) & full entry to the castle are also incl. in the card advantages (would have costed 16 Euro/pp). National museum of Slovenia (history&nature) was very interesting, incl. with card, otherwise 12 Euro pp The panoramic boat ride was very enjoyable, included/otherwise 14 Euro/pp Urban electric tram incl.otherwise 10 pp, was however a disappointment. The only terrible incl.visit (otherwise 10 pp), was the zoo 😱, it was heartbreaking to witness the animal abuse! Poor elephant, bears etc LPP city public transport is also incl. in the LJU card whic is a good deal/bargain and to recommend 🌞 With the card you can enjoy hassle free vacation ... visits, and you save money! Ljubljana is a gem of a city, so much to enjoy and to discover 🏞🏰

Smart concept - Incredibly clever concept. You buy a card that gives you access to many different things in the city - around 30 different activities/attractions. We saved a lot of money buying this card. How exciting each attraction is varies, but the card (which came with a brochure) gave a good overview of the various offers, and where they are located in the city.

The best way to explore Ljubljana! - We are really pleased that we got the Ljubljana card because it meant we made the most of our visit. We went to the tourist information centre as soon as we arrived, we bought a 48 hour card and booked onto one of the activities so that we could activate the card and then immediately use it to get to our accomodation to check in ( it doesn't activate immediately on public transport but this method worked). We did the following activities with our card in addition to using it for all our public transport. Walking tour of the city - excellent Zoo - excellent Electric train - poor Bike hire - excellent Boat trip - good Castle and funicular railway - excellent We started with the electric train which enabled us to get our bearings but was slow and tedious and the headphones/ sound worked intermittently. ( This is my only negative experience if the card). The train could do with an update of its audio tour which felt very much like a promotional advertisement for the other attractions. We were grateful when the driver stopped so we could get off and not get back on again ( it only made two stops near the beginning and then didn't stop at the remaining scheduled stops or we would have bailed earlier). However, we really enjoyed everything else that was on offer. The walking tour was the stand-out excellent experience on the card and our tour guide combined historical knowledge with a warm and entertaining style, meaning that we felt we really got to know Ljubljana as a result of doing the tour. We finished the tour at the castle, so did that next ( the tour included the funicular so we ended up being able to do that twice). The castle is an interesting place to explore and we also enjoyed the views while we had a picnic. We had some time left at the end of the day so took a bus to the Oo where we very much enjoyed seeing the animals until it torrentially rained which brought our visit to a hasty end ( there were places to hide from rain but it was nearly closing time anyway) The second day we hired bikes and found the cyanometer and enjoyed the park and followed that with a boat tour. The boat tour was enjoyable but lacked shade so was a little longer than we wished in the heat of the day. All in all we got to know this lovely town much better than we would have done without the card. Really fabulous 48 hours!

Great for Toursits - I bought the 3 day (72 hour) card on my first morning in the city. There is so much you can do with it you definitely get your moneys worth. If your hotel is a little further from the city center, you get free bus travel with the card (the map is in the back of the brochure they give you), which saves you from walking, especially if its rainy, or extremely warm/sunny. There's a huge amount of attractions you can visit. It is definitely worth checking the website first, just to make sure they're open when you're visiting, as I saw that some were closed on Sundays and Mondays. Also, take advantage of the walking tour and the electric city train. These are great for seeing the city, especially when you first arrive, and give great ideas of where you could spend more time later in your trip. There's a great selection of museums as well, especially the National Museum of Contemporary History and the House of Illusions. On the 3 days, I only spent 2 in Ljubljana (1 in Bled), but I still felt that I got more than my money's worth. I would definitely recommend.

See a lot with one card - My wife and I bought the card while staying in Ljubljana and it was definitely worth the money. We would have spent a lot more on individual tickets if we didn't have it.
