- Zambezi River - Start your day with a convenient hotel pick-up in Livingstone between 07:30–08:00 AM, followed by a picturesque drive to the rafting base. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your expert rafting guides, receive a comprehensive safety briefing, and be equipped with top-notch rafting gear.
Then, embark on a guided hike down the steep Batoka Gorge to the riverbank, where your rafting adventure kicks off. Over the next few hours, you’ll paddle 30–32 km along the Zambezi River, tackling some of the world’s most renowned Grade 3–5 rapids—such as “The Stairway to Heaven,” “Oblivion,” “Washing Machine,” and more.
Enjoy brief pauses on tranquil stretches of water to admire the breathtaking gorge scenery and catch your breath. A light riverside lunch is provided midway through the journey, allowing you to unwind before facing the final series of rapids.
After your rafting adventure, you’ll hike out of the gorge (a physically challenging yet rewarding ascent). Refreshing drinks and transportation back to your hotel will be ready for you at the top. Anticipate returning to Livingstone in the late afternoon.
This full-day experience combines adventure, nature, and stunning views into one of Africa’s most exhilarating river expeditions.
