Definitely do this tour l! - Do this tour, you won’t regret it. Eustace our guide was great and he rode with our 6 year old, (125cm and 27kg) on a specially made seat on the back of his bike and provided a helmet so we knew he was safe. Our son rides a bike but I think he was better riding with Eustace due to the heat and uneven surfaces he’s not used to. We were so glad we did this eye opening and educational tour, we met real people and saw real Zambian life, the challenges they face. We visited a family home, a working quarry (no machinery, all done by hand), a local market and the Linda Community School for orphaned and vulnerable children. Everyone was so friendly, the children running out of the villages to see us and shout ‘hi’ and often run alongside our bikes. The ride itself was not onerous, lots of stops and we didn’t find it hard work at all. We spent ages at the school and Eustace was very patient with us, even though our tour ended up being 4 hours instead of 3 as we chatted so much to the people. He was an excellent guide and taught us lots. I was glad I took some money along as I was able to buy some bits from the market and also some amazing hand sewn bags by some local ladies to the school who have a sewing initiative. We saw lots of amazing things on our Africa holiday but this tour especially will stay with me and i would recommend everyone should do this tour. Don’t hesitate to book it!

Highly recommend - Highly recommend this tour if you have teens and want them to experience Livingstone from the perspective of local residents living outside of the touristed portions of the city. We stopped at a community school, a surface quarry being worked over by men, women and children, and a private home. We made a small donation at each of these to compensate people for their time. Really appreciated the guides, who were very informative and took care to answers all of our many questions. Tour lasted about 3hrs 30mins but a lot of that was at the stops. Total riding was about 10 miles. Last stop was at a local open air market in Dambwa. Great place to buy crafts and fabrics at much much lower prices than the Mukini curio market.

Incredible and Eye-Opening Cultural Bike Tour in Livingstone - We had an amazing 3-hour cultural cycling tour through the countryside of Livingstone, Zambia, guided by the wonderful Wez. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable throughout the tour.
One of the highlights was visiting Linda Community School, where we had the chance to meet some of the students, a teacher, and the principal. We were warmly welcomed, and it was a truly moving and rewarding experience.
We also visited a local family who graciously invited us into their home and shared their way of life – a powerful and humbling moment. Later, we stopped by a stone quarry, witnessing the hard work and long hours many people endure. The tour ended at a vibrant local market where we even got to taste deep-fried caterpillars!
Overall, this was a fantastic and deeply meaningful experience that gave us a genuine insight into local life. Highly recommended!

Mandatory activity in Livingstone!!! - Took this cycle tour with Wezi. I was the only client which was a bonus! Very easy cycle, most definitely off the tourist path which is what I enjoy. Very easy cycle, very informative, interesting and heartbreaking at times, but it's the REAL Zambia. Its also great that your payment supports local initiatives and the interactions with the locals is priceless. Cannot recommend it highly enough. If you do take this trip I might suggest you bring some school supplies, access to education is very challenging here so anything that can help ease the challenge is a good thing. Get on your bike and see this beautiful part of the world.

Great trip - This was an enjoyable and easy bike ride through local villages, providing an opportunity to view local people and their life. We visited the local community school and learnt about how they had raised money to provide educational facilities predominantly for orphaned children. Our guide was well informed and spoke about the area with great passion. I highly recommend this trip if you want to get a glimpse into local life and culture.

One of the best things I did! - One of my favourite things I did in Livingstone! It's a 3 hour tour where you get to see the suburbs beyond the main road and experience how people live their daily lives. My guide was absolutely amazing and really cares about what he does and you see the direct impact taking one of these tours brings by providing resources for the local school. If there's one thing you do in Livingstone I highly recommend this.

A humbling bike tour with an amazing guide - We did the 3 hr Cultural Bike tour with our wonderful guide Wezi. We could not have found a friendlier, more welcoming, knowledgeable guide than Wezi. We were visiting/staying in Victoria Falls/Zimbabwe and crossed over into Zambia to do the bike tour. The booking arrangements online were easy - even from one day to the other - and we were in contact with Wezi by email to make final arrangements for where to meet on the morning of the tour. It all worked out perfectly. Cycling through Livingstone with Action Bike Tours was the best way to see what life in Livingstone is like, meet the locals and support the Livingstone community. We found ourselves very fortunate to be shown around different areas of Livingstone including the Linda Community School, some neighbourhoods and the buzzing Dambwa market. It was fun and created lasting memories and inspiration for us. We highly recommend a bike tour with Action Bike Tours.

Highly recommend this trip! Either alone or in group! - As I stayed in Victoria falls, all I had to do was to meet up at the border and they had a driver meeting me exactly when we were supposed to. Everything was well organized. We only drove for a couple of minutes before we could see my guide and the bicycles. I was the only one on the tour, and I felt extremely safe all the time. He showed me communities, got to see mr. British and his family’s home. The kids also sang to me. Learnt a lot on this trip. Then we went to Linda community school where I got to meet all the kids going to school. Then the trip ended at a local market. During these hours I was the only tourist to be seen, so I feel that I really got to see where the locals lived. Learnt a lot, and will forever remember! Loved this trip, and can highly recommend!
