It was a small group with... - It was a small group with 3 languages, but we all seemed to manage well together. The quide spoke all 3 languages and made sure everyone was included. He also spent time with each of us to make sure we were alright with everything. Evora was a small, historical and interesting place. I enjoyed the history and being somewhere that was not too crowded. The guide was interested in us knowing and experiencing Portugal so he even made a special stop to show us something he thought we should see. We stopped a vineyard, and a cork factory. I was really fascinated by the information that I received about cork. We saw a lot of cork trees along the road, and at the cork factory there was one. I realized later that I had not gone up to take a closer look at the trees. We had one person with walking difficulties, but everything was at a leisurely pace so it didn't cause any problems.

Fantastic day in Évora and Alentejo Región. - Our day trip to Évora and the Alentejo region with ROADTOURS exceeded all expectations. Originally booked as a small group tour, it unexpectedly became a private experience—an incredible surprise made possible by ROADTOURS’ commitment to delivering an unforgettable journey rather than canceling due to low numbers. From start to finish, our guide and driver, Maxim, went above and beyond to ensure every moment was seamless and enriching. His expertise, enthusiasm, and genuine care made all the difference. We explored the UNESCO-listed town of Évora, admired the breathtaking views from top of Evoramonte Castle, and enjoyed a wine tasting at Quinta de Valbom. Every stop was thoughtfully planned, and the scenic drive through Alentejo was an absolute pleasure. Thanks to ROADTOURS’ dedication and Maxim’s outstanding hospitality, this tour was an experience to remember.

An ok tour - My friend and I joined this tour as we were interested in the highlight of the chapel of bones. The tour guide (Rita) and driver were on time at the meeting place. We were a bit shocked as she even ask our names we just loaded on the van. Throughout the tour we didnt get to know the other guests and she didnt ask our names at all. I felt the overall engagement piece was missing from this tour. The van is spacious air conditioned and rather comfortable. It was a small group 9 total which is nice over half our group spoke portuguese, so the information was done twice in both languagues. There wasnt a lot of information shared by our guide in comparison to other tours we have taken which is too bad. We started with the Roman temple, which is neat, a walking tour of evora to lead to the church. The church is nice however to be aware there is quite few steps to the top terrace for a view. The chapel of bones was one of a kind to see. There was adequate time for lunch and check out a few shops. We were communicated a time back to the meeting point. The winery stop we could do without. It wasnt great. It is a small wine store. There is no tour of the winery or helpful engaged staff. Our guide and driver left the winery accidently without 2 guests. We had to go back and get them. We didnt end up doing a tour about rugs which was listed on the tour description unnsure why. We instead went to a family owned cork factory, had someome explain a bit about the process and there is a giftshop there. That was interesting to see and understand.
