Worth the money! - I have been in 60 countries and have taken tours all over the world. Miguel was one of the best tour guides I've ever had. He was funny, informative and very affable. This is a very interesting tour but requires a lot of walking. If you have mobility issues, this is not the tour for you. It was well worth the money!

Great day out - It was a great day out for my wife and I, well worth it. The trip started at 8:30am and took about half an hour to get to Sintra. Make sure you carry an umbrella and a coat as the weather in Sintra can be quite wet and windy. You will also need to wrap up warm when you get to Cabo de Roca later in the day. It might be better in warmer months but in February it was freezing. It was still quite busy so I can't imagine how busy it will get in summer. Macarena and Maria were fantastic guides, provided loads of historic details at the sites and during the bus trip and were happy to answer any questions. The best is that they looked to be enjoying their job so it wasn't just regurgitating some memorised dull notes from a leaflet but their enthusiasm showed in the way they explained things which makes quite a big difference making the experience much more enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend the trip even if just for the practical side. Some of the places are not easily accessible by public transport so it would be difficult to fit all in a single day any other way. Even if you had a private car it would have been difficult to find parking as the roads are quite narrow and parking is not easily available as the area is really busy.

On top - Very good outing too bad it rained Guide to the top. Knows his subject well Access is very difficult by its own means also I recommend this organized outing I recommend to take the complete pack with entrance it avoids waiting at each entrance to buy entrance tickets

The visit to Pena Palace... - The visit to Pena Palace is very nice, but crowded. Be prepared for people and lines. Also, Viator describes the walking involved. It's quite hilly and could be difficult for many. Something I wasn't prepared for was the difference in climate in Sintra from Lisbon. Sintra is a separate micro environment and subject to rain, clouds and fog that you may not experience in Lisbon. The Regaliear Mansion is pretty, but you don't really go inside. This is a garden walk (uphill much of the way) with some very interesting garden spots. Our guides were very knowledgeable and had several insights. You do not spend much time in the town of Sintra itself (mostly just for lunch), but it's a very cute historical area. The ride out to Cabo de Roca is nice, but you only spend about 20-30 minutes at the site. It's enough for good pictures. Be prepared for a lot of wind off the Atlantic Ocean. Overall, our guides were excellent and made the experience worth it.

Waiting for I r a refund - I booked this trip because I reall6 wanted to see Pena Palace. I was disappointed when my first booking was cancelled and then further disappointed when my rebooked cancelled Pena Palace. I chose not to go and was very frustrated when I could not get an automatic refund and that n9ne of the Trip Avisor phone numbers worked. I finally made an online report. I trust I will get a refund hut I guess I have to 2ait 8 days.
