Great experience in Sintra! - Pedro was fantastic — knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience fun. We learned so much and felt like locals for a day. Highly recommend!

The best Portugal historian - Valerie was the absolute best tour guide!
She greeted us in the beginning and described everything from Lisbon to Sintra and back again. She cared about our full Itinerary and throughout the tour gave us examples of what we could compare with history from Sintra to Porto, Granada, and Rome! She was absolutely the best. She was so passionate about Portugal's history. She made us feel as if we were literally in the times walking thru the different locations.

Outstanding day trip from Lisbon - Visited two amazing sites with an outstanding guide Valerie. Extraordinary architecture. A must see!Be aware though that uphill climb and steep stairs can be quite challenging.

Good option to see Sintra sites - Guide (Andre?) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Was a pretty full day as we finished at 330. Sites interesting especially the palace. Note that this excursion does not include visits inside the palace - just outside.

Perfect Half-Day Tour to Sintra with an Amazing Guide! - This tour from Lisbon to Sintra was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Our guide, Bart, truly made the day exceptional. As a local, he was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Sintra—you could really feel his love for the town, and that made the tour even more special.
We left Lisbon at 8am, which was the perfect start time to beat the crowds. Our first stop was the stunning Pena Palace, where Bart gave us a thorough and engaging guided tour. Afterward, we had a lovely break in Sintra’s charming town square, where we could enjoy traditional pastries, grab a coffee, browse souvenir shops, or even check out the Sintra National Palace.
Next, we visited Quinta da Regaleira, one of the most unique places we’ve ever seen. We got to explore the grounds and even go down the famous Initiation Well—such a cool and unforgettable experience. Bart provided excellent background and insight throughout, making each stop even more meaningful.
The group size was just right (8 people), so it felt personal and friendly without being overwhelming. Bart was funny, kind, considerate, and an excellent driver—we felt totally safe and comfortable the whole time. He also knew all the best tips and tricks to avoid lines and crowds, which made the day even smoother.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon—you get so much in just half a day without feeling rushed, and Bart is an incredible guide!

Best tour in Lisbon area. Do not miss!!! - Absolutely one of the best tours we have ever been on! This is due to a mix both of the beauty of Sintra and the sights, and also to our wonderful guide, Bart, by far one of the most informative, dynamic, and good-natured guides we have ever had the good fortune of having during our travels anywhere. Do not hesitate to book this tour!
From the start, the communication and organization of the tour was superb. I was contacted via WhatsApp to confirm the details of when and where to meet, and to confirm the members of our party. Bart also texted the morning of to give a description of himself and what he was wearing to make it fool-proof. As soon as we started he asked about our preference to walk or take a mini bus up to the Pena Palace. He also gave us a good bit of background interwoven with anecdotes to really bring the history of the palace to life that all four of us could enjoy (from 10 to 40 year olds!). Quite a feat. Once at the palace, we enjoyed expedited entry around the lines and he made sure we had all the primo photo ops and took photos of our family on numerous occasions. Then he brought us to a break in Sintra center and guided us to the best pastry shop so we could sample all the local delicacies and do a little souvenir shopping. Somehow he managed the incredible feat of making it feel like we were both at our leisure and keeping us on schedule without feeling rushed. Then it was on to Quinta de Regalaria, again with so much knowledge from our guide I actually wondered if he was a history major, but it was all related in such a fabulous narrative that it felt more like a friend sharing stories about people he knew than a guide. And it makes sense, Bart has grown up in the Sintra area and having that local insight made a tangible difference. Finally, after our day of walking we were ready for a lunch recommendation and he directed us to a delicious feast in the nearby beachside town of Cascais. It was the perfect end to a lovely day! Truly a highlight of our family's trip to Lisbon. Do yourself a favor and book immediately!!

I enjoyed the tour and... - I enjoyed the tour and our tour guide, Andre, was very knowledgeable. The sites we visited were beautiful. Unfortunately the other people in my tour group were not prepared for much walking, and that made the whole tour a little slow. I would have prefered to move through everything at a quicker pace, but I understand that Andre had to cater to the rest of the group, who weren't prepared to walk/

1/2 day in Sintra - Excellent overview of Sintra. Tour guide had a well air conditioned van and provided interesting descriptions of the major attractions. Well paced and not overly strenuous though your legs do get a work out!

Overall experience was... - Overall experience was great. Wish we had more time to visit the town of Sintra, but it is a very touristy place. Walking was intense, but doable. Just prepare. Descriptions and history lesson were interesting and on point.
