- Centro Historico de Sintra - Leave the palace and follow your guide to the historical center of Sintra, where you’ll have free time to explore the town, you can visit the Sintra National Palace on your own, where the Portuguese royalty of the 15th and 16th centuries used to spend the summer months (own expense) or have a drink and a snack (own expense). Try a travesseiro or a queijada, two delicious local pastries.

Sintra and Cascais tour - Had a wonderful time visiting Sintra, the palace and Cascais. Our guide John was great. Highly recommend this trip if you have a free day whilst in Lisbon.

Sintra and Cascais - Filepa was an excellent guide. He did a masterful job jumping from Portuguese to English, since we had both Americans and Brazilians in our guide. He is very informed and did a great job jumping sharing his knowledge.

Fantastic Tour with an Amazing Guide, Maria - I recently did the Sintra and Cascais Small-Group Day Trip from Lisbon, and our guide, Maria, was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and well-educated, with a deep understanding of the history and culture of the places we visited. Maria was engaging throughout the day, sharing fascinating insights in a way that kept everyone interested. Most importantly, she was incredibly caring—she looked after every member of the group and made sure we were all comfortable and enjoying ourselves. She truly went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience.

Sintra- Cascais Experience - Pedro was an arsenal of knowledge- engaging, informative, and fun.
It was a long day but he made the tour engaging! The tour gave us the opportunity to walk around, eat and learn some of the history.

Sintra - Antonio is a walking history book. His insights made the places we visited much
more alive. We appreciated the attention he gave to us and everyone in our group. Riding with Antonio and listening to his discussions at each site made for a very pleasurable excursion.

Nice excursion. - We enjoyed our day long trip to Pena palace, Sintra and Cascais. We had a very nice and knowledgeable guide who shared lots of interesting information and was a pretty safe driver. Would recommend.

Had a great time and... - Had a great time and Natalia was fantastic and friendly. The only true comment I have is that there were fewer fun facts because Natalia needed to give the tour in two languages.

Alternative experience - Our tour guide was great Rita she done her best taking us to places that weren’t on the list because unfortunately we couldn’t visit Pena Palace as was closed down down to terrible weather conditions prior to our tour. Rita luckily make our trip very interesting and special.

First poor experience in Portugal - Overpriced for what you get. This is a mass operation. "Small group" with About Lisbon company means it's about 50-60 tourists gathered together that broken into groups of 8 people per van. Here is a catch, read fine and misleading print: "multilingual guide". It doesn't mean that guide is multilingual, but if you are unlucky like I was (family of 3), you are stuck in a van for a whole day with people that do not speak your language. And guide (they are all below average in the company) now has to repeat whatever little they know in 2-3 languages and you in the meantime wait for the group. Sintra is nice but VERY TOURISTY. After that experience I contacted the operator since I had another tour booked with them. They said they can't guarantee that group will not be multilingual. Well, cancelled the next tour and rebooked with another operator. Misleading and overpriced. First time in my life didn't tip the guide, she was trying but I am not going to encourage such service
