Fun time cooking with Bea! - Bea is literally amongst the best humans. Part of my party arrived a little late and she didn’t make a fuss. We had some food preferences that meant for alternative dishes. Having a charcuterie board to snack on during the experience was great! Fresh bread plus good cheese and meats >> she was engaging and encouraging. Our group ranged in age and skill/comfort/experience. Portion size was a lot for us. Overall, we felt like we were just a family cooking with our cousin whom we hadn’t seen in a while. Excited to get the recipes and make the custard at home or for the holidays.

Perfect experience - I had an amazing time with Beatriz. Only registered that day, we made the market then cooked and ate together: it was perfect. Thank you again for the Welcoming, the quality of the recipes and the warm time we both spent together. Beatriz also gave me very good advice for the rest of the stay.

A Night of Cooking, Laughter, and Friendship - Chef Bea gave us a truly wonderful evening. The three-course meal we prepared was not only delicious but also an opportunity to learn and appreciate the traditions of Portuguese cuisine. Yet this experience was more than just cooking—it was about coming together as a group, sharing laughter, and ending the night feeling like a family. The food was memorable, the atmosphere joyful, and the warmth of the gathering unforgettable. Thank you, Chef Bea, for such a special experience

10/10 Lisbon Experience - Bea was wonderful. She welcomed us in like family and walked us through our 3 course meal (starters, main dish, dessert) all while holding the group’s attention and being genuinely engaging throughout. Everything felt well-paced and all 11 people in the class got to play a role in the final meal. It was such a great opportunity to learn more about Portuguese food, history, and meet other travelers in the city. 10/10 experience. Inspired my whole group to want to do more cooking classes in the future.

Vacation - This was the most amazing experience. Bernardo our chef was fantastic. He’s great at his craft and has the most amazing personality and made this experience so much fun. My husband and I learned not only how to cook some beautiful Portuguese staples but also learned much about cooking and the culture from Bernardo. Would definitely recommend you check it out!

Run from Beatrice - This cooking class was run like a boot camp. The chef, who acted more like a drill sergeant, was an absolute perfectionist shockingly intense for what was supposed to be a beginner-to-intermediate experience. You’d expect a relaxed vibe, especially being in Portugal with a group of casual travelers, not professional chefs. But no matter what you did, it was never good enough for her. I paid $100 to be given contradictory, incorrect instructions and to stir rice pudding for nearly three hours yes, three. I was sweating, my arms were sore and toned by the end of it, and other participants had to take turns helping us because of how hard she was drilling us. And after all that, she criticized the texture of the pudding in front of the entire table. Thankfully, the rest of the group defended us and said it actually tasted great. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The chef made me feel out of place, and the only kind person there was the assistant chef, who at least tried to make us feel supported. Save your money and your sanity. This class was exhausting, frustrating, and a complete letdown. It put a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively. The food was bland, and honestly, you’d be better off spending that $100 on groceries and cooking at your Airbnb or hotel apartment. And one last thing: if her name is Beatrice and she mentions rice pudding run.
