A One Of A Kind Experience - Our tour guide, Kika made this food tour a one of a kind experience! She was so knowledgeable about not only the delicious food but also the surrounding architecture, the history of LisbonPortugal and the paths of immigration. We had the opportunity to try foods we never would have thought to & visit different neighborhoods. Kika also went above & beyond by providing us recommendations for the rest of our time in Lisbon and our trip to Porto - and every one was amazing! Highly recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip to ground yourself and have great recs for the rest of your stay!

It made us fall in love with this beautiful city. And it certainly helped us appreciate the rich culture by getting to know the diversity through food and how it made its way here. Our tour guide, Kika, was spectacular. She shared so much important information with so much respect and appreciation of all the information that she was sharing. She was engaging and fun - definitely helped all of us in the group have a full and positive experience.

Wonderful Experience! - My wife and I enjoyed our food tour immensely. Joao was an excellent guide. He was kind, funny, knowledgeable, and very accommodating to our needs and interests. We thoroughly enjoyed this specific tour because of the varied foods we were able to try. Also, we found the histories behind each of the foods and the establishments that we visited to be interesting and meaningful. We would not hesitate to join another Culinary Backstreets Tour next time we travel.

Been on multiple CB tours and each one is wonderful and well planned - We have done numerous tours with Culinary Backstreets from Lisbon, Porto, and Marseille, to Oaxaca and loved every one. They are the best!! The local guides are always fantastic. Joao took us on this tour and he was wonderful, engaging, and very informative. Such a fun tour and the experiences were ones we could not have had without his input. The food and people you meet on the tours are fantastic.

Our guide Kika made our day memorable! - Loved our tour guide Kika - I would suggest requesting her! The stops gave us a taste of the rich history of Portugal... flavors of Brazil, Cape Verde, Portugal, India, and Italy. I'm not a history person by any means, but Kika weaved history through each stop in a way that even drew me in - she made it simple, visual, and enjoyable. As we walked the streets she pointed out things that were part of the culture, she shared stories of the people we met, it is hard not to give 5 stars with an incredible guide like Kika!
