Great 2 day hop on hop off experience! - Had a great 48 hr. Introduction to Lisbon with the Grayline hop on hop off deal. We basically took 4 of the 5 route options (two per day) and, while the scheduling of the various routes can be confusing, once you get the hang of it, the 48 hr. ticket is excellent value for the money. The most difficult of the routes is the Cascais line and you have to watch the going and returning schedule closely or you can get stuck. Today, an elderly couple got the 3:00 pm bus from Cascais to Lisbon expecting to return on the same day only to discover that they arrived in Lisbon at 4:15 pm and the last bus from Lisbon to Cascais left at 4:00 pm. They then had to get a train back to Cascais that they hadn't anticipated. From our perspective, however, great value and we would do it again in a heartbeat.

Hop on Hop off Lisbon - I recommend the trip. Pretty pleasant route. Conductor Bruno was very friendly and helpful. Repeat when possible.

Worth every cent of the subscription! - I took out a 3-day Epic hop on hop off Lisbon city bus tour and it gave me great flexibility to visit at my own pace. The stop near St Jorge Castle was particularly convenient!

Interesting tour with well thought out stops - On the whole the experience was good, the stops are well thought out and the drivers, especially the ones that do the Castle route are excellent. The only problem was the capacity of the buses, especially the early buses, which were packed. On one occasion, we decided to skip a bus as there was very little room, only to find the next one was just the same. In fairness, all the other companies were the same. If I was to do it again, I'd get the bus from the start point in the Parque Eduardo VII, at least then you can see which buses are going to be busiest.

Pay attention to the tickets - The QR code you receive via mail does not work. You must first exchange it for a paper ticket and this only at the starting point. This is not mentioned anywhere on the site.

Not as good as. Other hop on hop off - Get all the info on the tours first. The boat tour was one way which was ok. The orange line tour you get kicked off the bus and gave to wait about 1 1/2 hours to catch a bus back and the yellow line is a duplicate basically if the orange line, not a lot of help from some drivers , others were really helpful

Read Carefully when booking - Read carefully when purchasing package. There are multiple options. Found ourselves trying to board bus with "Hop on Hop off Boat only". The vendor devices cannot read the barcode on the Viator boarding pass. Creates all kinds of problems when boarding. Best to go to the Praça Marquês de Pombal, Lisboa, Portugal which is Central Stop 1 of all routes and check in. There are two companies using red busses and same stops This is Gray Line. You'll need the Gray Line App which isn't clear in the Viator instructions. Take a jacket for the boats.

Improvement needed - Audio commentary didn't always line up with the attraction being described, or left you wondering whether you should be looking left or right to see it. Some stops had no listed attractions so there didn't seem to be much point in stopping there at all. Travel time for the whole route was nearly 2.5 hours, far longer than advertised, even though traffic was average. The optional boat tour add on had no audio commentary at all which made it nothing more than a water taxi.

Overpriced - Four of us took the blue line. On two buses, the technology only partially worked. The route is of limited interest...

Don’t bother cruisers - If you’re on a cruise and the only bus available is the blue from the port don’t bother ( 1 hour wait and 100 minutes of touring back streets and warehouses before you get any where near downtown area where you then have to change to red line ) better to walk or take yuk yuk don’t waste your money
