A Stroll Through Nature’s Bounty

The day began with a gentle breeze and the promise of adventure. My wife and I, both seasoned travelers and lovers of the natural world, were eager to explore the lush landscapes of Puerto Limon. We had heard whispers of the Puerto Limon Combo Tour and decided it was time to experience it for ourselves. We were not disappointed. Almost immediately, we spotted a group of Capuchino and Howler monkeys swinging through the trees. Their playful antics were a joy to watch, and I couldn’t help but snap a few photos. But the real star of the show was a young sloth, nestled in a small tree, seemingly oblivious to the world around it. Its sleepy demeanor and endearing appearance made for a perfect photo opportunity, one that I will cherish for years to come.

A Glimpse of Puerto Limon

With our hearts full from the wonders of the park, we returned to Puerto Limon for a brief city tour. Maurice, ever the knowledgeable guide, pointed out landmarks and shared stories of the city’s rich history. We passed by sprawling plantations owned by Dole, Chiquita Banana, and Del Monte, gaining a newfound appreciation for the bananas we often take for granted.

Our tour concluded with a visit to a local coffee shop, where we indulged in the rich flavors of Costa Rican coffee. As we sipped our drinks, we reflected on the day’s adventures, grateful for the opportunity to explore such a vibrant and diverse region.
