Make your way to Hersonissos Port and meet the Black Rose, where a friendly and experienced crew will welcome you. Travel through the clear-blue Mediterranean Sea toward the bay of Sant Georges. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling and until you return to the boat, the crew has prepared a delicious BBQ meal. Afterwards you set sails along the coast to the east, to Stalis and Malia, where you have plenty of opportunity to refresh yourself in the blue sea. Pirate animation is during the trip provided for our small fellows.
End your day with a relaxing ride back to Hersonissos Port in the late afternoon.

Not to be missed! - Worth a visit. Highly recommended. 2 bath stops and plenty of lunch. Nice and friendly crew and fun for young and old.

Our trip September 30th 2025 family of 13 age 12 to 50 years - We had a lovely day, easy to find , friendly atmosphere great stops for swimming, if u have swimers that are unsure they do carry pool noddles but not many , bbq was good, for vegetarian i would check suitable arrangements for food as we didnt manage to find anything suitable but wasn't ask if we had any dietary requirements it may of been in the small print not read when booking , you can buy cans of fizzy or bottled water in the boat we used euros, the kids age 14 up loved jumping off the top of the boat into the sea, would definitely go again when visiting crete xx

Fantastic Day Out on the Crete Pirate Ship - We booked the trip through TripAdvisor – quick, easy and great communication from the start. The boat trip itself was brilliant, with two swimming stops. The first included a cave and loads of snorkelling opportunities, while the second stop in Stalis Bay was beautiful and relaxing.
Lunch was tasty – a perfectly cooked pork chop with sides – and the crew were fabulous: friendly, entertaining and full of energy, making the whole experience even better.
Overall, a fantastic day out that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Fantastic! - What a nice outing this was, really great, the kilometers are not many but that doesn't matter. The experience is fantastic, especially for the children, they do everything, we really enjoyed it. The only shame I found was that I had read that there was also chicken instead of pig, but apparently you should have indicated that when booking, but I didn't see that option anywhere. That didn't spoil the fun, we had a super fun day, highly recommended.

amazing day - we had a wonderful day on the boat. Very nice staff who are there for you and make fun jokes. there is plenty of time for a nice swim and even food is provided. I will definitely recommend it

Great family day out on the Black Rose Pirate Ship! - We really enjoyed our day on the Black Rose pirate ship cruising to Stalis and Malia. The crew were fantastic and kept everyone entertained with singing, dancing and pirate fun – especially on the way back when the whole boat got involved!
One of the highlights was stopping twice for a swim, where you could jump off the boat into the crystal-clear water – such memorable experiences for both adults and kids. The adult meal on board was delicious and well prepared, though the kids’ pasta option was a bit of a letdown and could do with more variety or flavour.
Overall, it’s a brilliant experience for families and couples alike. Fun, lively, and a great way to enjoy the Cretan coast. Would definitely recommend!

Slightly misleading description - We did the pirate ship early on in our stay in Crete and generally enjoyed it.
The staff are super friendly which makes the experience and the ship generally is pretty cool. I also personally enjoyed the lunch, although as others suggest, wouldn’t say it was BBQ.
However, the description is slightly misleading. We cruised for about 10 mins before stopping for 1hr 30 of swimming which was nice but perhaps slightly long, followed by lunch. We then stopped a second time in a rather underwhelming location nowhere near anything of much interest which was a shame - I’m not sure I’d claim we saw “multiple beaches.”
I’d also suggest that other than the odd pirate song and some dress up, it didn’t really feel like a pirate ship experience as such.
Overall I enjoyed the experience, but wouldn’t necessarily do it again.

Pirate lifestyle - Very well done boat tour, the first stop invites you to swim in a very nice little bay. Then there is food, a delicious steak, salad, potatoes and tzatziki.
The next stop is in front of Stalis beach. Especially for children there is a pleasant supporting programme. Coole Crew.
Unfortunately only 2 spots instead of 3 approached.

The ten day cruise to Western Mediterranean, Croatia and Montenegro. - I recently had a fantastic cruise experience in the Western Mediterranean, including Montenegro and Croatia, from April 23 to May 3, 2024. It was my first time cruising with Celebrity, and I was impressed with the spacious, comfortable cabin and polite staff. The shore excursions were fantastic, and we enjoyed walking around the towns to experience the local culture. We visited Sicily for the first time and saw Mt. Etna. Sitting in the café at St. Mark's Square in Venice was like living in the old world of Europe. Croatia's Riviera and Harry's Bar were fantastic, and Montenegro reminded us of its Soviet past. On the whole, the ten-day trip was worth the experience. The only problem I faced was vegetarian food. There were not many things to choose from. There were also some communication problems. The woman at the reception messed up our order for water into sparkling water. But when we told their supervisor, he quickly rectified it.
