Unmissable in Lima - Maravilloso. My second visit, the last one 10 years ago. Enjoy this visit more than the first time, we were surprised with the setting up of a new pavilion with its erotic gallery. We close the visit with a romantic dinner in his exquisite restaurant. An afternoon of luxury.

From birth to death: a beautiful museum about all life situations - Beautiful museum in Puerto Libre district that gives an overview of pre-Columbian and pre-Inca cultures. Admission 40 brine for adults, from 60 years 30 brine. About 2 hours stay. There are 2 films, 10 minutes (introduction) and 5 minutes (erotic section), each in Spanish with French subtitles and in English with German subtitles. The exhibits are restrainedly illuminated and inscribed in Spanish, English, French, and sometimes in German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese. We were particularly impressed by the ear and nose decorations. Of course, the early historical depictions of sex are also interesting, whereby the Old Peruvians focused on the three classical “basic positions”, but also loved anal intercourse. They did not reach Tantra or Kamasutra in this respect, but the depictions nevertheless give an idea that they had their fun.

Impermeable! Beautiful museum with pieces from various pre-colonial periods! - Large museum with pre-Inca and Inca archaeological pieces. All with subtitles and everything very organized. Worth a visit! Down a ramp that is located in front of the main entrance of the museum is the Inca erotic museum, with pieces that refer to sex, very interesting to visit as well. And for those who want to, there is a restaurant/café inside the museum that is very tasty! There's half an entrance for a student.

Informative & Enchanting - The setting of the Larco is devine. The restaurant is charming and the food is delicious. All staff are professional & helpful. The exhibits are displayed in a beautiful arrangement & explanations posted in several languages. Do not miss the Erotic gallery on ground level for a fascinating exhibition of pre-Inca culture. Larco Museum is a must see in Lima! Come early to avoid tour bus crowds.

Beautiful, to do absolutely! - It was my last day in Peru, I had my morning off and I hesitated to go for fear of running out of time... Finally I took a taxi and went there, and what was I amazed by this place 🥰 It was really amazing to see all these pottery and pre-Hispanic adornments. The Incas created beautiful pieces, and that's a must! The site is not huge but worth a visit. The museum is located in a residential area, quiet, and very flowery, I loved this place, I highly recommend it 🙏🏼

History of Peru told in objects - The museum is wonderful and worth a long visit. The headquarters is a very beautiful mansion, surrounded by blooming gardens. The exhibition tells the history of the ancient Peruvian peoples. The objects, tapestries and ornaments bring everyday scenes and detail the life of the pre-Colombian peoples. It's a trip to the past, with a lot of capricho and good taste. The finfados of the Rafael Larco museum did an admirable job. After the visit, you can enjoy lunch at the charming museum restaurant.

One of the best museums in Lima - The Larco Museum, located in Lima, is one of the best museums in Peru and a world reference in pre-Columbian archaeology. It is notable for housing the largest collection of Peruvian ceramics, with more than 45,000 pieces that show the diversity and richness of pre-Inca cultures, such as Moche, Nazca and Chimu. Its famous erotic ceramic room is one of a kind, exploring the ancestral worldview on sexuality. In addition, it exhibits textiles, jewelry and gold and silver objects. Located in a beautiful viceregal house surrounded by gardens, it offers an unforgettable cultural and visual experience.
