Base Camp – Descent via the Santa Cruz Valley – Cashapampa – Transfer to Huaraz.
Huaraz - Today, you’ll begin the journey back to civilization with a scenic descent through the Santa Cruz Valley toward Cashapampa. The trail winds through lush landscapes, alpine meadows, and rocky trails, offering a new perspective on the route taken during the ascent.
As you move down to lower elevations, take in the flora and fauna of the valley, with the chance to spot local wildlife and appreciate the distinct change in landscape. This leg of the trek takes around six hours, concluding at the village of Cashapampa.
