A great adventure for the whole family! - A superb day spent with our guide Alex, who was very friendly and attentive to our safety. We did the combo (waterfall in the morning at 10:30 and the river tubing in the afternoon). The traditional lunch was excellent. During both activities, our guide gave us the option to jump cliffs. The first two jumps (near the waterfalls) was about 3-4 meters high and the one while tubing was 6 meters high. Quite the thrill! The whole family had a blast. 💥

Tubing in the dry season. - We did tubing. Kevin is a fantastic guide who guided me through the most difficult rapids. At first I was a little nervous but Kevin made me more and more happy. Would like to do it again. Fantastic experience.

Exciting rapids and spectacular view! - We really enjoyed our 2 excursions— river tubing and the watefall. The tubing was exciting with class 2 rapids. We felt very safe in the tubes and with the help of our guide, Kevin, when we got stuck! La Leona waterfall was a spectacular view! There is some walking up rocks and scaling boulders but don’t let that scare you. The average person can do it. And it’s worth it to see the waterfall! Kevin was a delight! Clearly very knowledgeable about the area and its culture and history. As his English improves he will be the best guide!

Wonderful and worth the cost - The waterfall hike was amazing. My 10 year old daughter did it with no problem. Then they drove us to the river and we went tubing which was also great. We ended the 90 min tubing with a short walk and lunch was prepared and ready when we arrived. Mario cooked a delicious meal for us. I think it was our favorite meal of the week.

Book this tour!! - Book with this group!! Best day of our vacation! Randy took us first to the waterfall. We were happy it was earlier to start because we were there before the rush of people. Randy was the best guide. Let us take our time at the waterfall. He had us do so many things the other groups did not do. He’s been exploring this area for over a decade and has great knowledge of the area. Randy then took us tubing on the Colorado through 35 rapids. It was so much fun and he made sure we were safe.. Would highly recommend this tour over all the other groups!

La Leona Waterfall and river tubing - Had an amazing time on this tour! Guides were very friendly and helpful and even helped us figure out future travel plans! They took us out for a delicious meal after our adventure and made the day easy for us with their pick up/ drop off services from our hotel in Liberia. Would definetly recommend wearing hiking sandals or shoes you do not mind swimming in.

Great way to spend a day around Liberia - Very nice people and fun activities. We did one day that included the waterfall hike, river tubing, lunch, then the mud spa in the afternoon. Note: I’d recommend doing the river tubing during the rainy season. The water level was low in February, which required tour employees to push us along in the sections with slower-moving current and get us un-jammed from some of the white water sections. It was still a lot of fun and the employees were very cool about it, but it was a lot of work for those guys. The mud spa was located at Vandará Hot Springs and Adventures. I’d also recommend doing Vandará on a separate day if possible, since they have many more activities than just the mud bath and hot springs. Overall, it was a fun time and a great way to spend a day in or around Liberia or Rincón de la Vieja.

Fun and scary - Our tour guide was above amazing. Truly an awesome guy. (Give him a raise) However, it had been raining and the rivers were high and the current strong. I ended up in a scary situation and my husband was bleeding by the end. I think more caution needs to be given to safety and cancelling after large rainstorms.

BEWARE - The guides here were amazing and the tubing adventure was one of the most fun things we did. The waterfall was what i was most excited about. This was a disappointment to say the least. Things to know...a couple ppl have actually died getting to the waterfall. What they don't show in the video is that you have to pull yourself down a line through the most treacherous surf coming in from three directions, with a horrible undertow, surrounded by rocks. Not everyone could do it, and even the men that were successful came out struggling. Toward the end of hike on our return, we saw that there was a gentleman that had fell into a hole trying to cross a very heavy current with no guide rope.He cut himself in a few places. And then, shortly after a guide fell in the hole and thought he may have broken his ankle. And don't forget these are people that do this every single day. Be wary of this part of the adventure. If you hurt yourself, there is absolutely no quick exit. They carry a small first aid kit, but bandaids won't help you get out of your jungle.
