A wonderful experience. - Jason was our guide. We lucked out and had him all to ourselves on this tour. He was knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe the entire time. The hike was amazing as well as the waterfall. The lunch afterwards was very good. We highly recommend. A side note: this tour is for able bodied people only. You will be climbing over rivers and large rocks as you move down the trail. The final swim to the waterfall is a bit challenging but worth it.

The True beauty of Costa Rica ( Pura Vida) - It was a wonderful experience. We saw white faced monkies, howler monkies and blue morpho butterflies on our way to the falls. Our guide was a young man named Steven who made sure we were safe because the route in is challenging. The falls lived up to its reputation it is very beautiful.

Amazing !!! - What an amazing experience! Our driver Johnny was awesome…professional, friendly, knowledgeable and lead tour guide Jason kept us safe and was a true pro ! The hike itself wasn’t hard, some little ladders and walking across the river. You need water shoes the entire time (don’t buy white ones) - wear something you can get wet the entire time, you wear a life jacket the whole time…once you get to the area to start the swim to the waterfall the current can be very strong and you need to use a rope to fight your way to the ninja warrior-esque rebarb that’s sticking out of the rock and climb around it to get to the waterfall but it’s well worth it ! Worth the trip, we would suggest private (it was 6 of us) and we stopped for souvenirs and ice cream on the way home (about 2 hours there from tamarindo, 2 hour hike/adventure including a nice lunch with iced tea and 2 hours home) - Thank you Johnny & Jason !!!

Nature’s Bootcamp - Booked this tour thinking it’d be a breezy walk to some pretty falls. Joke’s on me. First off, bring water shoes that double as tennis shoes, because you’ll be playing hopscotch over rocks and wading through streams. December’s falls were no joke. Two out of three of us made it to the actual waterfall—guess who didn’t? (Spoiler: me.) The current was so strong it felt like Mother Nature was training me to be a professional clothes-washer, complete with the full “dunk, spin, rinse” cycle. Despite my aquatic gymnastics, the guides were fantastic and super patient. Lunch at the onsite restaurant was the perfect reward, especially after pretending I could conquer nature like a pro. Highly recommended if you’re looking to test your limits (or laugh at your own misadventures). Just pack light and leave your ego at home.

Highly recommend!! - What a great adventure!! Our tour guide Jason was amazing! Such a friendly, down-to-earth young man! The hike to the waterfall was less than a mile within beautiful surroundings. The only downside was waiting in line for about 30 mins to get to the waterfall but it was so worth it! And the entire trip 90% in shade which was great for my Irish boyfriend. The lunch was delicious too. My boyfriend and I got to practice our Spanish with Jason which helped with our confidence to try speaking it in other parts of the country. We highly recommend this adventure!

Highly recommend for people who are adventurous and can swim - Great adventure ! You pass 2 rivers with rope, then swim through 2 short distances, the last leg is very challenging due to fast flow and high water in Dec

Excellent Experience - First time taking a Native’s Way tour. It was fantastic. Starting with our driver Jose and our tour guide Diego. We did the Volcano Hike, Waterfall Swim & Hot Springs on Rincon de la Vieja tour. The sights were stunning and Diego made sure we saw every “critter” we could. Monkeys, Toucans, snakes and salamanders. Lunch was amazing too! Thank you for a fantastic tour.

Amazing once in a lifetime experience - I can’t say enough about Noel and the tour we had! The trail and the waterfall are once in a lifetime experiences, but without Noel it wouldn’t have been the same. He was so personable, kind, patient and knowledgeable and he added way more to the tour than I could have imagined. High recommended and if you can request Noel do it!

Genuinely interesting experience - Very nice people this was a fun and genuine experience. Along with being a little bit of exercise. We were staying in Playa Hermosa and it wasn’t that far of a drive.
