Amazing Hike/Waterfall! - We did this tour through Nature’s way. It was a wonderful day with our guide. He was learning more English terms while we learned more Spanish. We really enjoyed the hike and the ending result of waterfall. Would highly recommend as it’s something larger groups don’t do!

Must do excursion!! - This is a must do excursion! This travel group was awesome! We ended up having a private tour with Jason. He is a younger guy that knew a lot about the area. He was a pleasure to hike with, and the area is absolutely beautiful! We went in June which is the beginning of the rainy season so it was not super busy. Jason says sometimes in the hotter months there can be lines to get up to the waterfall. We thankfully didn’t have to wait and got to spend time enjoying the waterfall with just a few others in another group. The hike does involve climbing over large boulders, tree roots, climbing short ladders, etc. So, just be aware it would be difficult for those not able to traverse difficult terrain. We saw an older man struggling, however there were plenty of younger kids able to do it.

We loved it! - This was a great hike! Enough difficulty to keep us entertained, with enough assistance & safety measures to prevent injuries for all levels. The waterfall was amazing. The entire trek was beautiful, with plenty of water crossings to keep us cool. Sandstone & pumice rocks weren't terribly slippery. But be sure to wear your heavy traction water shoes. Lunch was delicious, lots of options, including vegan! Several adorable & friendly cats & dogs at the trailhead. Just a fantastic trip!! Thank you so much, Dreamers team!!

Grateful for Noel & Alberto! - This was my family's first excursion in Costa Rica and we had an unforgettable time. We were picked up at 7AM on-the-dot by our driver and first guide, Alberto. We shared a great conversation about Costa Rican culture and history on our way to the trailhead at Rincón de la Vieja; we learned of the origin of the volcano's name, and a story of the land in pre-colonial times and the healing plants found all over the park. Noel was our guide through the hike; despite some challenging bits, we found the trip was absolutely worth it. Throughout the jungle, Noel showed us all the medicinal plants along our hike, showed us how to make paint from iron and sulfur found easily in the soil, and encouraged us to face our fears whenever a hard or easy option on our route presented itself. Like I said, it was always worth it and made the trip more special as we gained life experience, confidence, and got to experience a sacred space at the end. We saw two falls including La Ducha, La Leona, and a natural water slide too! Of course, there were plenty of other sights to behold, including the lion-shaped rock structure that gave the main waterfall its name, La Leona (the Lion). Noel was also highly skilled and patient when it came to taking photos and videos for us on the hike! I trusted him completely to handle my iPhone on the water lol! The dry bag he had was easily the most important piece of gear we had. Lunch was absolutely delicious especially after the long journey! We went to a local spot known for their casado; they also had a variety of delicious juices and other entrees which we did try and enjoyed as well. Everything was tasty and fresh! We also met a sweet cat during lunch. Alberto joined us for lunch and his company was appreciated as we decompressed from our hike and prepared to go back to our hotel. Noel and Alberto were so kind and the passion they had for sharing the land with those curious was evident. I'm so grateful to have met both of them in this lifetime! :)

Fabulous nature with unforgettable guide - Beautiful piece of nature! Unforgettable Rodrigo gave me one of the best nature experiences of my life: Climbing, jumping, swimming and learning about the plants. His adventurous spirit is contagious. His boss is also fun and helpful. Great company and fabulous trip.

Disappointing - The tour description was a bit inaccurate. We booked this as a private trip but when we got there we were with 4 other people. We didn’t know we would be hiking through the river to get to the main waterfall. Would definitely recommend water shoes and not hiking boots. The hike is difficult though and very slippery. There is not a trail really… you are hiking over boulders and holding on to ropes to get yourself around safely. Not for people out of shape or not strong. Not sure this tour was worth the price honestly. We paid over $150 per person and I feel like I could have done this myself. To top it off, we went “off season” and the water was murky and muddy instead of crystal blue. Overall a bit disappointing.
