Amazon Sailing - Peruvian Jungle Tour from Leticia - Alligator Search and Night Safari

Leticia - The journey begins at the port of Leticia, Colombia, as we sail along the Amazon River into Peruvian territory.

Amazonas Department - The adventure kicks off on the banks of the magnificent river in Peru. During the rainy season, we navigate canoes through submerged trees, where the forest’s reflection blends with the gentle sound of the water. In the dry season, the tour transforms into a two-hour trek along vibrant jungle paths. With each step or paddle, nature unveils itself through birds, insects, and lush foliage, while native guides impart their ancestral knowledge, showcasing the area’s rich fauna and flora. Upon reaching the reserve, we settle into a floating cabin on a lake teeming with piranhas, alligators, and native species. Here, a typical Amazonian lunch with fresh ingredients awaits. In the afternoon, we sail to witness the sunset mirrored on the tranquil waters. At night, the adventure continues with an alligator search and a night safari in the jungle. Finally, we retire to rooms equipped with beds and mosquito nets, serenaded by the jungle’s sounds.

Amazonas Department - At 5:00 a.m., with the forest’s first song (optional activity), we awaken to experience one of the jungle’s most enchanting moments: the sunrise. The horizon is painted in golden and pink hues as birds awaken, creating an unforgettable natural symphony.
Following this, a traditional breakfast is served, and we delve into the lake’s serenity with an artisanal fishing experience, connecting with local traditions as the water’s silence surrounds us.
The remainder of the morning is reserved for relaxation in the reserve, soaking in the Amazon’s profound tranquility. After a lunch featuring native flavors, we commence our return journey: either sailing amidst the river’s reflections or walking along jungle trails, until reaching the meeting point. From there, we embark on the trip back to Leticia, arriving between 4 and 5 pm, carrying the jungle’s essence forever in our memories.
